What would football be without some bitterness, a bit of hatred (mainly reserved for the filthy tramps up the M1) and a chance to have a good old moan? But don't feel that it is exclusively with you lot, we feel the same about that Judas at the other sheep fiddlers down the M4 from you....hope you enjoy your visit to god's own country and we will take heart that you will have to pay the toll to get back to the valleys...

    Very bitter!

They get comp. Cowie was out of contract. What did they want Malky to do? Player available on a free say sorry Don I cant take you out of loyalty.

    Yeah right.

He took a better opportunity , Watford got compensation and Cowie would have gone to another club. Lets face it he was leaving Watford anyway.

Leave the bitterness behind , chill out and listen to your Elton John collection.

babydan... thanks for the advice but I have read the thread. I simply pointed out there is still bitterness...which you've just confirmed. The reasons why are irrelevant to me.
Take the time to find out the reasons why nothing was said at the time and that burden you carry may not seem so heavy after all

The text is done, there is not muchchanged. I hope my attempt at the Welsh is not too wrong.

I have no problem with MM leaving, least he waited until the season ended, not like some. What was bad is he took the Watford back room people, were Cardiff City's people not good, and most came to our club before Brendon Rodgers. If I leave my job and go to another company it is not for me to take all my people with me, if that was to happen I would be better to stay where I was.

Lets face it. Malky will hardly be shaking his boots.

A hostile reception from Watford fans. Not exactly frightening is it.

Hilts does have a point !!!! However we can have a go :) maybe we ought to send for a consultant from our friends down the M4 , you know on how to be a hooligan and get banned from your club :)

Watford are generally known as a Family Club.

Guess which club last season was voted Family Club of the Year......................?

The reasons may not be so irrelevant when Celtic or a minor prem club come a-knocking - he'll be off like a shot (having persuaded Peter Whittingham not to renew his contract so he can take him on a free, benefiting no-one but his new club's owners)

The man is a cnut. End of.

Malky actually persuaded Peter Whittingham to sign a new imroved long term contract.

So he is going nowhere unless someone pays millions.

Malky was offered a better , higher paid job as were the players and staff who left with him.

    Watford got compensated.

Ok not for Cowie - but thats the Bosman for you. We lost players worth more than Cowie in the summer.

You should be forever grateful to have had Malky at your club!

Hilts less than 2 months before MM left he signed a new extended 3 yr deal , (which at least improved the comp) ,but it does also suggest like most that he is loyal only to himself (which is no crime) Now if you go up all fine and Dandy , if you fail in the play offs a 3 rd time and MM gets an offer from say West Brom ,or Celtic , He will be off just as fast as his legs will carry him (again no crime ) ,what will get your goat (or sheep)(only joking) is you will lose most of your back room staff in the following month!
He will have maybe made sure about some (shall we say contractual issues) of key players! Even your clubs transfer targets will be poached (conway!!)
What I am trying to explain the main beef here is that he stole most of the backroom staff and that was where the main damage was done as it took a lot of time to fix! contributing to the fact we had a poor start to the season ! As all the new members of staff are finding their feet and implementing their systems, our results are slowly improving!

Whittingham was an example - not a good one I admit! Why should we be eternally grateful to Malky who we kept as a player in the Prem when West Ham and Norwich binned him off, and who we gave his start in coaching and management (paying for him to get his badges no doubt)? He gave us, lets see, two seasons of initial overachievement followed by massive disappointment (check out our stats for the last half of last season - it's frightening how he turned it around).

On a less bitter note.... the BBC match preview says Doyley will be keeping his place ahead of Dicko - I hope this isn't true!

Cracker - Usually Old French Hornet does the play by play stuff but he is offline at the moment, so not sure if he will be lurking on Boxing day...but I am sure someone who is listening in will provide updates on this thread.

Its OK Doyleys gonna get a hatrick, positive thinking...... the only bitter in me is the hoppy kind.... what I didn't like about Malky was he thought Cardiff was a better opportunity, I disagree because I wear yellow tinted goggles and can't imagine a better position in football than Watford manager but obviously 90% of football fans will disagree with me. All I want now is a great Watford win..
