I think Kightly will need another season or so here before he's ready for Premier League football again
Draw was fair. Did well to hold out in the first half but then we had a couple of decent efforts. Nice goal by Buaben and shame Loach ruined a decent performance beforehand with the error. Hogg and Norsworthy great again and thought Deeney did well. Our wide men didn't get into the game much. Good atmosphere I thought.
Seans reaction seems fair http://www.watfordfc.com/page/PostMatchReaction/0,,10400~2557980,00.html#continue
Hogg has been amazing for us this season. He does a thankless job and with Buaben being useless in midfield it's even more impressive. Would like to see McGinn come back and form a good partnership with Hogg.
Stevenage in the playoffs as things stand. I'm sure if we start playing them regularly I'll look back on this statement and cringe, but hats off to them. It's an incredible achievement for them to be in with even a sniff of promotion.
Hogg seemed to me to disappear in the second half. Not that he did anything wrong, he just wasn't as prominent as he was in the 1st half. H was calling for Buaben to be subbed in about the 10 mins prior to the goal and I think most of us would echo those sentiments. I certainly did, but I didn't want to steal H's thunder Still trying to work out why SD didn't use any of the subs.
I can only guess he wants to get a full game in his first XI's legs so that he has an idea which of them are up to playing two games in three days.
Results so far look pretty good for us. ~ Wouldn't mind Stevenage coming up, would be nice for a local rival.
I wonder which set of fans would sing "if I had the wings of a sparrow" the loudest. While we will always be the main rivals, L*t*n fans have spent more energy laying into them than us over the last few years, even after Stevenage got into the league.
Surrey level on points with Abu Dhabi United as things stand, and making a massive dent in their goal difference. Colchester 1-6 Stevenage!
