Woah I thought Jenkins had a really good game! Still don't know how we lost though.

I wouldn't go that far (thought he was decent), but he's not going to displace Hogg, Eustace, Abdi or even Yeates for a central role. Even if we're missing a few of those, Cassetti is likely to get a look-in.

    :emoticon-0159-music We're gonna do the double ;)

I don't think Jenkins has a future at the club, but I felt he did okay today. He probably only made two or three really decisive passes, but that's about two more than he used to.

Beleck was a let down, although this was definitely the right game to start him. As for the defence, it has looked vulnerable to balls into the box in every game I've seen so far, and both keepers have been magnificent.

On the bright side, Hogg was as good as ever, Hodson and Forsyth gave a good account of themselves in demanding positions, and Anya and Bia showed flashes of things to come.

But I thought that the system we played today looked very promising, particularly once Vydra came on. We have four or five players who can play the wide roles (depending on what you think of Yeates), and hopefully after the international break we will have the choice of Iwelumo or Geijo in the middle.

Hopefully Zola is doing some behind the scenes negotiating with international setups. Obviously in an ideal world we would get two weeks with our full squad. But strategically, Murray would gain far more from a week's rest and a week's training than he would from playing for an Irish youth team, while full international Adam Thompson has much more to gain trying to prove his worth in one of Zola's systems, than from playing for the U21s.

These were our reserves remember. Apart from the goal Anya didnt have much idea. Beleck reminds me of Kabba. The Belgian didnt do much. Still then again early days and once they get to know each other things will get better. Times up for Hodson methinks.
    Theres only one Ross Jenkins!!

I suppose Leciester would be thinking the same but Burton at home would have been another winnable tie...mind you I thought this was.

Wasn't at the game so cannot comment.

Seems to be a lot of conflicting reports around about certain players like Jenkins and Bond.
