Bloody Internet Explorer - just shut down for the fourth time during the game <grr>

Phew 2-1 win. I may even have won Jon Marks' Twitter comp with that score;)

Good win, although i think we all expected this as 3 points against a pretty poor Barnsley side. Next few games will be important, pick up some points and we will be virtually safe.

Not for the first time the oppo were poor - so maybe thats down to us!. No worries with this win until they scored, then we sat in our half and gave them the ball - Garner offside when going for the corner!. Dont panic boys it will be fine. Murray good again I thought.

Solid enough performance till we let a sloppy goal in.

Good disaply from the midfield and well taken goals by Eustace.

Thank god for Captain fantastic;), otherwise we were toothless:( Nothing up front for us:( Eustace's second was because he wanted the ball more, great finish:)

Thought all the youngsters were brilliant today. Not too worried about the fact that Eustace got the goals, I'd rather have them spread around the team than be utterly reliant on the strikers or on one talisman. We're a couple of wins away from putting any lingering doubts about relegation to bed, so there's plenty of time to either hope that Deeney or Garner come good, or to plan for the longer term.

<laugh> i had to queue for ages for a coffee today, much longer than usual! Had i known, i'd have headed for the gantry instead!

i hate the timewasting, and i have to admit, Scott Loach is the worst offender.

It was reminiscent of the Aidy B days, sitting too deep, the last 10 minutes being a real butt cheek tightener...but thankfully most games end better than that! We did sit back far too much in the second half, but only at the end did Barnsley apply any real pressure. We got lucky i think...if they'd been any better, and not reliant on brute force, we'd have really struggled today.

I agree. Garner had an off game, imho, and Deeney wasn't effective today. He was reliable as ever, winning headers and running a lot, but he didn't seem to know what to do with the ball today and got caught far too often.

In my opinion, we had a poor game, which, reading back on this thread, is interesting, as it sounds like we had a really good one! Funny how it can be so different being there, to listening to the commentary. It's probably somewhere in between!
