Suddenly McClaren's the messiah! Wasn't he bombed out of his last job 'cos he did poorly? We're still in the mix and the attitude of some of our supporters really surprises me: as if we have a divine right to be promoted at the first attempt.
Harry will say we did well with no striker and Watford are a difficult team, we did well to get a point. We'll be looking for a has-been or two in the window...
Before the season started I would have been satisfied with a point at Watford. Seems I seriously overestimated them.
A summary of our chances, 5 25 yard shots all off target and were powder puff anyway. 2 crosses that flashed across the 6 yard box and a stinging shot from the corner of the area that youd expect the keeper to save.
Calm down bully boy as soon as our opponents find that out they wont defending their hearts out against us. Then it will be easier and the goals will come. Derby has been very good lately but just look out the three latest teams they been against. Doncaster, Huddersfield and Barnsley...... Its getting a lot tougher to them next year.
That was horrible. Backward and sideways passes and Green refused to punt it down field even once. One shot on target in the entire game and it was straight down the keeper's throat. I've defended Redknapp all along but I'm fuming with him now. Not one single fit striker at the Club. Its a disgrace. How the hell could he let this happen? We could have been playing all night tonight and still we wouldn't score. Awful awful stuff. Redknapp, you're a w*nker
When you have a manager whos one of the highes paid in the world, a squad whos probably the highest paid in champ history and a manager whos been given backing like no other. A title win is expected, no excuses.
I dont see anyone saying we have a divine right for promotion at the first attempt but with the resources available to HR youve got to admit that the football is awful and we lack goals. Starting the season with Austin paired up with zamora and AJ was pretty predictable that it would end in tears.....and the physio's treatment room
He's been trying one of those Nigella Lawson recipes again. Ham cooked in Coke - not to be sniffed at...
Loads of twists yet lads loads ... can see anyone beating anyone and by then we will be back on form and winning. If we lose at home to Donny then i will get a little worried but we are too good a side not to win this crap league Jan 10th a big match now at the top
Wages have nothing to do with it: if anything, that's the fault of TF. With a few exceptions, most of the players brought in this season have be on the cheap. A title win at this level can never be expected. Foolish to think otherwise.
So I am more than satisfied by a draw at Watford. We have had a really difficult run over Christmas...which is now over....Derby have had a really easy run...it now reverses It will be ok
We should be points ahead by now. Don't matter if we play Leicester or Barnsley we can't score more than one goal and thats not good enough. No goals in three games now. Doncaster on New Years day and we be looking for a 1-0 win, and don't forget they beat us away. Simply not good enough.
OK anyone know how long Austin is out for? I cant go through another zamora workout BTW how many games is it now since Zamora played and actually scored??
Alright, so we didn't do as well during the spell of "tricky" matches as we'd have liked. We deserved to beat Leicester though, mood would be drastically different if we'd got what we deserved there. Our style suits playing the "lesser" sides more. Here are the next 5: Doncaster (H), Ipswich (A), Huddersfield (H), Sheff Wed (H), Bolton (A) One point off the automatics currently, I expect us to be back in them post Bolton. [Bolton's on Jan the 28th, by which time hopefully we'll have another striker or two]
