He is that but we are solid and many short memories on here when the old moans was we couldn't keep the ball ... today's team can. Maybe the club will buy a new striker to help us win matches ... could other teams just go and do that? Happy and confident we have what it takes to win this league It's my duty to stay positive during match time
Totally agree - and wasn't everyone REALLY delighted when we heard that McClaren was coming to us!? (no - they weren't for those who struggle with irony)
24 goals in 23 games. Only six teams have scored less and they are nearly all in the bottom six. is not rocket science we need strikers. ll
The complaints centre around - our form dipping alarmingly not being able to score paying good money to watch frankly a pile of ***** letting our strikers go and relying on zamora & AJ Other than that i have no complaints at all
Not too disappointed with a point at Watford but I do find it a ridiculous situation to be in where we have no strikers! How many players have we signed in the last couple of seasons? And we can't field one fit striker, Just not good enough!
Excellent. If you want a better return for your money then I suggest you start spending it on something else!
Well I was delighted when we got McLaren and said so at the time. Compare our results to Derby's since he left.
We were two points clear at the top after Blackpool, we're now five points behind and fourth. We haven't looked remotely like scoring in any of those three games. Frankly we're shyte, as I said on another thread, we're a mediocre mid-table side on performances and only fourth because we had an amazingly lucky run in our first ten games...
Well, Huddersfield managed 5 goals home to Yeovil today and Bolton 3 goals at Leicester, so we need to start scoring a few ourselves.
Well, the good news is our deficiencies up front are clear to all at the beginning of the Jan window and not as it closes. Can't believe TF and HR aren't acutely aware of what they need to find within the next month if we are to press for top two (or even top six)
no harm expecting ...but a wee bit arrogant, unrealistic and setting yourself up for disappointment if you overlook the fact that there are 23 other Clubs in the league, a significant proportion of which have strong claims to the the title. And we're only at the half way point.
You can have as many strikers as you like, but none of them can score if we're constantly playing sideways and backwards.
It's a disgrace that he was loaned out when we had one fit striker (who's now injured!). I admit that I was wrong about Redknapp. He is clearly trying to con loads more money out of Tony by making sure that the cupboard is bare. I really fear for us if we don't go up.
This is the club that - Has one of the best keepers in the World on the payroll but never been in the matchday squad this season A young fit striker who has scored for us this season out on loan when we cant field a recognised striker in a starting 11 A defender in Luke Young on the payroll who hasnt played for 2 years Bond says we lack creativity whilst the one player who could turn a game for us languishes at Fulham A manager who started the season gambling on the fitness of zamora & AJ And where the hell is diakite and why does he never play? Lastly O'Neil & Henry. Not the reason i pay hard earnt money and travel to Doncaster to watch Yes we are 1 point off the autos but for me thats more by luck than judgement
True, but we had a number of good chances in the first half that a decent striker would have had for breakfast
Althought im still sure that we get the promotion im bit worried about our teams situation right now. No match fit strikers to play whole match at all? Also our playing is very slow and so predictable that even the teams who give ball away easily (watford today) can defend against us quite easily. I agree that todays performance was a lot better than the one against forest. Still, thats not much either...
