The WO does seem to be the willing ally of whoever is briefing against Beppe. He does seem to be a complex character, and maybe his coaching style is not suited to getting the best out of some of the players he has in the squad. But while to results are going his way he is probably safe enough. We will certainly need this big squad come the second half of the season so I hope no-one leaves. In the meantime we must take full advantage of the "easy" start to the seaon to get maximum points.

At times Leeds looked quite good in this match--and the own goal came from our no 17,--not such an unlucky number after all.

If only he had been wearing purple! :)

4-1 is always enjoyable but it was a patchy performance. We started well, playing to speedy, slick football early on. We allowed Leeds a lot of unchallenged possession in the middle part of the game but took total control after the penalty. The 'shape' of the team didn't always look right...crowding in parts of the midfield, players isolated in others. There was much more urgent pressing in the second half so perhaps BS's half time talk had some effect. At the moment we look to have a squad with sufficient ability to do very well. Whether the individuals will gel into an outstanding team remains to be seen. Hoban, Tamas, and Forestieri all looked good.

We have the skills to keep possession, especially against 10 men, though it makes for tedious watching when it's in our own half.

Some Leeds fans are a tad cranky over the red card for Byram, calling Pudil a cheat.

And they have the hide to have someone like Poleon in their side...

We have a couple of players who in the past may have gone down easily from a challenge or dived to win a penalty. I don't see that we do now and Pudil has always seemed an honest player so if he was holding his face is imagine he had good reason. Just my tuppence. Meanwhile, your point is spot on BB!

we can all do things in the heat of the moment danual may have been trying to use up a little bit of time like 95% of all players do . i have seen ff running so fast he could not have got out of the way of the defenders block, ff ends up on the floor and the ref books him for diving (because of his passed booking for dving) but danual has been very honest in the past

I was in the Vicarage Road end on Saturday and from where we were it looked like Pudil did go down very easily. To be fair I didn't see it all but Byram appeared to move his head toward Pudil, not sure if there was any contact, but if the Lino caught it out of the side of his eye like I did you can see why the red card was brandished. See it a lot these days, didn't Mark Hughes start it all while he was at United ? Got to think Byram's a fool, three down with no time left and he gives the ref a decision to make.
