So that I don't have to check the wretched place for myself, how are the bunch on KUMB looking forward to the game?
Never been on there before, but just checked their match thread...blimey, it's detailed...surprised they didn't include Rickie's boot size. Read first and last pages (so not comprehensive)...seem a reasonable lot...every team has some idiots. Some think they will win, though pointing out we are a better side now, and others would take a draw if offered and some have a bad feeling about it. Sound familiar.
Gutted I have to miss this one (new job, can't get the day off, not been there long enough to throw a sickie). Was really looking forward to an intriguing contest and a hard fought Saints win. 3 more points and we're safe, or aren't we worried about that now? I don't think we need to be.
No one is including us in any discussion on relegation in either the papers or on TV. They jump straight to the title race (how boring is that), so we appear to be in limbo as far as the media is concerned.
I do think it will be very tough today. Fat Sam will be all out to smash our midfield apart and will be putting balls behind our full backs to get us turning back as often as possible. I'm just not looking forward to watching Nolan spend 90 minutes nighling and moaning at the ref.
I went on KUMB and wanted to tell them that not606 is a far better representation of the Saints fans than SaintsWeb, i was embarrassed reading there match thread. But didn't want to open an account just for that
Didn't see the game at Upton Park this season, but I seem to remember Jos and Jose holding up pretty well in both games last season. I wonder if that'll be the pairing? Might also depend on Luke Shaw's fitness I suppose. Vaz Te could cause us a lot of problems playing off Andy Carroll. I expect the first 70 minutes will mostly be played in their half though, until we begin to tire and have to take to the shelters.
I hope we score early....the longer it goes on, the more they will get used to us and then could score. Some early goals...say 3.0 up by 25 min and we could start to relax.
We have been scoring early goals at home recently. The exception was the QPR game. We do tend to play better if we score first so come on Saints get the first goal today!
How's the weather in Southampton? Absolutely tipping it down in Salisbury, think i'm going to get soaked today!
Raining in Winchester and at the Ageas Bowl so I think you can be fairly certain it's raining in Southampton!
Nothing to worry about...ticket for the game already given away . It's still raining, I guess that makes me a fair weather fan.
