Merson on Soccer Saturday (I will always call it that), says QPR are a bigger club than Saints and will attract better players. Hmm.
Christ...Le Tiss is now standing up by where Cortese sits, he looks nervous, he must know the bullet is coming. Don't eat the complimentary canapés Matt!
I couldn't resist getting on the Merson bashing bandwagon. He always seems to be delighted when we concede goals and that third Stoke goal had him beaming from ear to ear. Admittedly it was a fantastic strike but you can tell how anti Southampton he is although having said this I will not be losing sleep over a muppet like him.
the two fairest teams in the league this season . saints 17 yellows, no reds, arsenal 17yellows, 1 red. cue a bad tempered game full of bookings
He's ex-Portsmouth, so you can hardly blame him. I certainly don't. Just like Pompey fans can hardly get their knickers in a twist when ex-Saints player are pleased to see Pompey concede.
Right I'm off...feeling irrationally confident. A point takes us 16th, and I'd take a point. Have fun
Saints team: Boruc, Cork, Fonte (c), Yoshida, Shaw, Puncheon, Schneiderlin, S. Davis, Guly, RamÃrez, Lambert Subs: K. Davis (GK), Hooiveld, Rodriguez, Ward-Prowse, Richardson, Mayuka, De Ridder.
Good lineup apart from cork at rb, why isnt Richardson playing? He's quicker than cork and is a rb...
Arsenal team: Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen (c), Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Chamberlain, Cazorla, Podolski, Walcott. Subs: Martinez (GK), Mertesacker, Coquelin, Ramsey, Rosicky, Gervinho, Giroud
Richardson not playing is definitely confusing, weakens us in midfield as well without Cork. Although Arsenal aren't the most powerful side so Davis should be able to match up well hopefully.
A reasonable set of results elsewhere. Wigan and Reading both lost and a Villa draw. It might have been nice to see W Ham lose but I suppose you can't ask for too much.
