Lads, I take no pleasure in being proved right yet again lol. Draw was the fair result, we were as ****e as each other. All the best for the season, and prey dyer doesn't catch mrsa in the norfolk and Norwich
Want to quote Brian Clough do you? Well, for a start, he would say it and it's not rubbish. How do I know? I have spoken, personally, to Clough about matters football because a close colleague of mine was one of his best friends and, also, shared a number of conference calls with them. In addition, a former Clough player worked for me for a time and Brian Clough the man, the manager and coach was discussed in great detail. Therefore, I can assure you that Brian Clough held no such opinion as you maintain.
Nice one ivor. I find that people who make the most sweeping statements with such authority are usually blowing out a pile of horse ****.
Apparently Swansea have tweeted that Dyer has no obvious break. Further tests dues. I do hope it isn't too serious and that he makes a quick recovery
I hope so too , if there could be any choice to make and I don't post this lightly but a clean break is possibly better than ligament damage , although I'm no expert it sometimes is the lesser of the two types of injuries .
KJ, I don't, for one second, want to give the impression that Brian Clough was a bosom buddy of mine. Not the case. But I have discussed football with him on a number of occasions both personally and by conference phone. My friend, and therefore by default, myself, have been his guests at games. One thing I can say, is that I was aware of poor Justin Fashenu's personal "preferences" a long, long time before it hit the headlines. Terribly sad that the guy was driven to such desperate measures by the then prevailing attitudes. Cloughie had actually phoned my friend for advice when he first became aware of it. By chance, I was in the room when my friend took the call. Far preferred it when we discussed football.
Therefore, I can assure you that Brian Clough held no such opinion as you maintain. Wrong again. I too have met the late clough when he came to the vetch and presented the staff at the time 10 crates of beer because we won the welsh cup and finished 6th in the old 1st division and we entered europe through the welsh cup that allowed forrest to get the last place...So your not that special are you ivor my old china. there are a few who met the great man and had lengthy chats over a few tinnies..
Dai - sorry but that smacks of 15 minutes of fame. Still making unfunny quips Nobby? Putting laughing smileys after each comment doesn't make it funny you know. But I'm sure if you search hard enough you'll find a life out there somewhere. Maybe with your little friends on the other forum because you offer absolutely nothing here. You're not even mildly entertaining any more so jog on son.
Hey, not so much of the "old". I know I'm not special, Dai, I wish that I were. I hope you enjoyed your experience with the great man over your tinnies. You must have astounded him with your encyclopaedic knowledge of football.
Maybe this will put today's result into some sort of perspective Norwich 1-1 Swansea Norwich 1-0 Crystal Palace Norwich 3-1 West Ham Norwich 0-0 Cardiff Norwich 1-3 Chelsea Norwich 0-1 Aston Villa Norwich 1-0 Southampton Norwich 2-2 Everton Played - 8 W – 3 (Palace, West Ham, Southampton) D – 3 (Swansea, Everton, Cardiff) L – 2 (Chelsea, Aston Villa)
