Great first half - great goals and movement, but more importantly, there was a lot of energy and we look up for it! Henderson as the number 10 gives us less cutting edge and guile but his energy and work rate is immense, and it helps the front 2.
Agger screws up just as often as Skrtel, he's not unique in ****ing up. Anyway, playing alright so far - need to come out after the half in the same mentality, not switch off and take it easy. Lucas showing once more why he's important, winning the ball, covering the space and playing it forward. Vital to our team.
He was pushing and pulling at the West Brom corner (I think its what he's referring to) which is something every centre back does anyway. Its actually a skill to do it and not get caught.
I don;t doubt it. Being in the centre of a back three is perfect for Skrtel, he just annoys me with his rugby approach.
Correct, that is what I was referring too. And you are right, every defender does it, however Skrtel does it more and to a more aggressive manner than most. I'm gobsmacked the referees haven't punished us/him more TBH
Refs are scared to call fouls against the attacking team on set pieces because it sets a precedent they can't referee properly. The only fouls they'll give are blatant ones against the defending team, or for someone breathing on the goalkeeper. Skrtel's fine on set pieces and is exactly what we need actually. Someone who'll do the dirty to stop them scoring. Rather that than Agger who lets his man past each time
