The thing that I hate about Peterboro (and this is the only thing I hate about em) is they for some reason played the post horn gallop before their matches. Fox hunting in Peterbor ffs. It is so ****ing flat that anybody on horseback would see a fox 2 miles away. It is like Man City singing that ****ty chav song 'play up sky blues'. It is just wrong!
As AKCJ and Barwell have alluded to - it depends where you live in Leicestershire - partly becasue we have some sizeable towns in the county like Loughborough, Melton-Mowbray, Ashby-de-la-Zouche, Coalville, Hinckley etc ... in addition we draw some support from towns just over the borders, like Nuneaton, Rugby, Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough ... I'd agree with AKCJ that for those in the city itself it is probably Forest ...
Yep theres alot around here that are Leicester fans. I'd go as far as saying i've seen more Leicester fans in Northamptonshire than Northampton fans.
There was a time in my 20 when me and a few mates started going to away games on a coach from Stamford in Lincolnshire that would call in at Humberstone gate on it's way to games ..
That's interesting boys. I hadn't realised that the main rivals might be different Clubs for different people. I just thought of the distance of other Clubs from the immediate area where LCFC is and the actual Stadium itself. I thought Ipswich might have been on there but that myth was firmly squashed! http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/245299-Ipswich-or-Leicester?highlight=leicester ipswich
As a Leicester fan who was brought up in the city (now live in Sheffield so I've invented a little rivalry between us and Wednesday) I would say our main rivals are Coventry in recent times. However, this is maybe just my opinion; I've never had many fans to compare it to, as all my peers supported either Manchester United or Liverpool, to the extent I'd love us to beat either of those two more than Coventry.
