No, it was the same situation as the one we got against Posh, Ekstrand slipped and hauled down the player. So it has to be a pen. I do however think he gave some of the free kicks in sympathy.
This is a very good blog from a Leeds fan: http://ken-demange.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/leeds-united-1-watford-6.html
Yes it is good, clearly someone who is not in denial. When you see the pictures on there it makes you wonder how any can say they are a big club with the stadium half empty.
Oh joy of joys.... http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....s-united-v-watford-yep-jury-verdict-1-5119561 Xmas has come early in these northern climes
Last silde is rather good http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....ews/slidehow-leeds-united-v-watford-1-5120070
I love the fact that on the scoreboard, to the left of the score Leeds Unite 1 Watford 6, it says 'Hold Your Party Here'. We did!!!
I was at the front of the fans and didn't hear any of this... but I enjoyed the '4-1 and we're taking the p***', followed by '5-1 and we're taking the p***' followed by '6-1 and we're taking the p***' chants at the end! Have to agree with BHD that Leeds were of course unfortunate, but it doesn't feel a hollow victory. What I did like was that 4 of the goals were from outside of the area, past a lot of Leeds players, and that one of the ones that wasn't was when they had 11 men. Quality finishing (or was it bad keeping by Kenny?). I hope Abdi is not seriously injured because he is a quality player, with an excellent first touch. Still not convinced about Yeates or Anya personally, although Anya's pace does add something to the team, and wasn't totally convinced about Hey-ho on that performance but still not seen enough of him yet. Have to agree with Hornette, in I thought Hoban was superb. 18?
Just wanna say well done on the result and apologies for not giving you credit on the day. I thought the counter attacking play was a credit to you quick players against our slow centre mid was scary to watch. the red card was stupid and you could argue it both ways but I think a red was probably the correct decision. once down to 9 men you had so much time to set yourself for the goals you scored some belters although I question Kennys performance. Congratulations from a very depressed Leeds fan watching the worst Leeds team Ive ever seen. Bates Die!!!!
Thanks for that Kis ,well done for having the balls to admit it was a red .Again well done you I can understand how much that hurt.(Bit like when derby caned us 5-1). Hope your takeover finally comes through soon.
Norway thats the thing mate it wasn't the result that hurt it was the lack of atmosphere and the realisation of where the football club is at, Bates is sucking every last bit of oxygen out of the place, No way should a family of 4 pay over £100 quid to watch a football team play. No way should away fans be expected to pay them prices its ridiculous.
you're right...the price is bonkers...i feel for your club, for your fans...it was very empty in comparison to last season...it's a shame when clubs suffer through no fault of their own...i hope things improve for you quickly PS: repped!
A cheery little read: http://thegamesgonecrazy.blogspot.fr/2012/11/unlucky-leeds-suffer-cruel-reverse-at.html
French, thats a very silly article !! Why are West Ham obsessed with Leeds, not even in the same league. You drawing this to peoples attention will only encourage those of limited concentration who will insist on informing us on here that Fred Blenkinsops scored against Luton when their own team is in the middle of a match. You are excused just this once as are prob demob happy.
I thought it quite interesting actually due to the West Ham links between the ex manager and CEO from them to their current club. It always seemed odd that the fans liked GFZ at Upton Park but when everything went wrong with the owners and new ones arrived the balance was changed.
