It was Clattenburg, please refer to the 2nd post on this entire thread. We never win with either him or Howard Webb "in charge" Both ****ing clowns.
Only saw the one replay of it before my [TOTALLY LEGAL MEANS OF WATCHING GAMES] took a nap, so I'll have another look during MotD, but on first glance it didn't look like there much he could do about it.
Was at least a 5 yard gap. That's not "close" in football terms. Was furthest away from the saints fans. Damn sure if that was Everton at the attack towards the Gladys St end and 10,000 scouses had screamed "Handball"... Clattenburg would have given it.
The commentator was spouting nonsense about him protecting his body, and if he was doing that it can't be a penalty. Bare that in mind for the future - load of crap.
You're right that does even out against for the several (Possibly double digits now?) that have gone against us this season. I wasn't really that miffed about the one today, his arms did just seem to stretch out from his body but I'd like to see it again to be able to say it wasn't a natural movement. Don't think we can hide behind one close decision when we should have got something from the game by our own hand.
On the game itself, I felt Prowsey had a particular poor afternoon. Cork for me was fantastic, and I was very surprised he was the man withdrawn for Gaston. I know Gaston scored, but Cork may have prevented that second Everton goal, although we will never know. A really good display from us though. Everton very fortunate.
That was Clattenburg's favourite moment of the match. Would have been worth taking Osvaldo to the match and having him kick Clattenburg in the gonads at the final whistle.
His set pieces were terrible again today. Agree about Cork and thought Chambers once again played well.
