Its unfair on all the teams who play in the Europa really.. For the fact Chelsea FAILED in Europe why is it fair they get rewarded a Europa league for being huge failures. It needs to be looked at once you get knocked out of Europe it should mean out
Pretty sure no teams can say that. Chelsea are the first CL winners to ever drop into the second tier competition the following year. Now there's a record to be proud of. It'll put them alongside the likes of Wigan if they win the Championship next year In all seriousness, well done Chelsea. Held on well when under the cosh and took your chances when they came.
Congrats to you guys. I think the "holders of both cups things" is a bit cringy for the reason Swarbs joked about. but there are still some very strong teams in the Europa League (as we found out when we played in it), so it's a good achievement and you deserve a lot of credit. Of course, since this post was way too positive i'll have to end on a "being 10th in the premier league is better than winning the championship" comparison to balance it out.
