TBH I'm relieved that we can now put to bed any thoughts of the play offs. It was always a long, long shot.
Not helpful going down to 10 men against such an attacking side - sounds like we were lucky not to lose by more.
Well I am a bit annoyed with Beppe today. At 1-0 to us we started to be overun and Ekstrand clearly wasn't at the game today. Beppe should have subbed him for Hoban who would have put in a shift and changed things further around and marked up Thorne to stop his game. Reality was he did nothing and let alone wait for Derby to score which was a always going to happen most of us knew we would go on and loose this game without the eventual conceeding in the last 10 minutes of a game. I am not trying to compare Beppe to JM at Chelsea but if he gets his system wrong there he will make substitutions to rectify things if possible. Beppe just let things flow with the familar away result. I can take a defeat but today some of the players/ manager did not perform to a leval required if we were supposed to be playoff contenders for the past month or so. Denney bust a gut for our shirt today a few out there seemed not to. Rant over!!!!
So, was every other foul worthy of a YC? Just reading the stat's... 9 fouls and 5 yellow cards seems a bit over zealous to me. Only two fouls by Derby? 11 fouls in the whole game? Just asking but card happy springs to mind.
