Hmm do you think you will start with Torres on the wing, I was not aware that he was good at tackling back and when he does tackle he often gives a free kick! If you are losing in the 2nd half then bring him on. Also you do need at least Cahill back and fit, Luiz(?) I am not so sure of.

As BM have two good wingers your full backs will have to be on top of their game plus your wingers will have to help out. I reckon if you can subdue Robben and Ribery you will be able to count on the Drog to come up with the goods.

I don't think we will start will Torres but I don't see why not. He's no worse than say Sturridge at tracking back and we have to give Bayern things to worry about as well. However we haven't really tried this yet and perhaps a C.L final isn't the place to start experimenting!!

Agreed the full backs will have to have a great game and wingers will have to help out at times but Mikel and Lampard will also be covering some ground to help out too. We have to get at Bayern's defence, it really is quite weak compared to their attack.

Agreed, I think if Malouda is fit he'll definitely play ahead of Torres. If only we had Rami <wah>

Just wanted to wish you guys the very best for tomorrow night.

I see Chelseas desire for the Champions league over the last 10 years as comparable to Liverpools fight for the league over the last 20 years.

Even at our best we have so far just fallen short. But the best things comes to those who wait.

If you had won it in 2005 when Jose first came in, It wouldnt feel half as good as it will tomorrow after all the efor you have put in over the years.

In short, i hope you guys do it tomorrow night.....

Would be very fitting for lampard and Cole to win it as the twiglight of their career approaches.

(If it was Liverpool playing tomorrow night, i would be so tense all i would be able to do is rock back and forward in a chair while listening to youll never Walk Alone on loop.)

nerves is good though.....You get nervous when you know you have a chance......All the best, i would say win it for England, but win it for yourselves, Chelsea have been perrenial competitors in the to pcup for a long time and deserve this.

Im bricking it big time now!!!
I had a proper RAGE when we lost in 08, my mum and wife had to calm me down lol
I have a feeling we will win it this time, which I have to say, I didnt have in 08. Bayerns defence is suspect and I am certain we will score against them, Bayerns success, I feel, will be dependant on how well Ribery can perform against Bosingwa. Bosingwa needs to have the game of his life and really step it up in my opinion!!
    COYB!! Lets do this!

    Top post, cheers.

As you say, had we won it early on in Roman's reign it would have been great but we've had so many near misses and heart breaks since then that it will be such a great feeling if we can finally do it. Prime example was beating Barca last round, not only did it book our place in the final but went some way to making up for that nightmare in 2008 too.

Only going to be watching it down our local pub (not even a "full" sports pub), but already feel like I'm bloody playing. Absolutely cacking myself - it's crazy!

Please, please oh please, come on Chelsea.

Very true, although I feel a lot more confident about this than I did before Moscow for some strange reason.

It goes without saying that you all want to win this game, but in your heart of hearts how do you expect the game to go? Do you think it will be one-sided or even. How high do you rate your chances? What are the key battles on the pitch that will decide the game? As an honorary Bayern fan for the weekend, Ribery and Robben are the key for "us". If Chelsea can keep those 2 quiet, then I can only see 1 outcome. Otherwise could be a close match.

The chances of it being one sided are remote. With nerves and so much at stake, it's inevitable that whoever scores first will retreat a bit and the losing side will come on.

I rate our chances as 50/50. We aren't as bad as some make out and they aren't as good. Yes they have Ribery and Robben but they are not as good or as consistent as Messi et all at Barca. They also can't hold the ball anywhere near as well which means we will have more possession than against Barca and more chances / set plays etc where we can expose their weaker defence. If we win I think it'll be as a result of being better at set plays and another disciplined defensive display.

A lot has been made of 'home' advantage but personally it counts for little in my view. It could just as easily work against them due to expectency and added pressure. The crowd will be pretty even and we will out sing the Germans no question.

The key battles for me are Bosingwa v Ribery, Lampard v Schweinsteiger and Drogba v their centre backs. I'm confident Cole will keep one of their wingers as quiet as can be expected.

I heard on Chelsea TV that Ryan Bertrand could start on the left wing! Thoughts?

Now on skysports 2 UEFA Champions League final preview Neville, Redknapp and Souness were all having this discussion about Bertrand playing on the left wing. I don't see that happening though Sturridge, Kalou and Malouda have more experience on the wings than Bertrand. But if Bertrand does start there he has the ability and pace to play there and can cause problems for Bayerns 2nd choice right back. Bertand is naturally a left footed player so he can provide crosses for Drogba from the left.
