Also, a managerless Dundee? I thought Bomber Deeds was their interim? Just read this http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/4810125/Browned-off.html DUNDEE chiefs last night faced an angry backlash after John Brown was thrust into the Dens Park hotseat. Fans reacted furiously as news of Brown’s appointment broke during a chaotic meeting at Dens Park. And the Bomber storm has left the club’s beleaguered board on the brink of COLLAPSE. Supporters howled with derision when told former Dens hero Brown was to replace axed Barry Smith. Some stormed out of the pre-arranged meeting with club directors. Now SunSport understands THREE directors are considering their futures after witnessing the fans’ outrage. And even if they stay, they are facing calls for an EGM where a vote of no confidence could be passed. In another twist, Brown himself was forced to deny rumours he had quit just hours into the job. We revealed on Friday that Brown was a candidate for the job and he landed the Dens Park gig through to the summer after being recommended by chief executive Scot Gardiner. Brown played with Dundee for four years from 1984-1988 before leaving for Rangers. He was a fans’ favourite during his first spell at the club but many supporters are still furious at Smith’s removal — and Brown has been caught in the crossfire. Gardiner, who scrapped plans to address fans after the meeting descended into mayhem, was put in charge of finding the new man when Smith was axed on Wednesday. Brown had been out of work since leaving Rangers last year, having previously managed Clyde. He addressed his new players yesterday lunchtime but WON’T be in the dugout against Celtic today. Coach Ray Farningham will take charge before Brown officially starts on Monday morning. A club statement said: “Having been inundated by high-calibre candidates over the last few days, one man stood out as perfect for the position of interim manager of Dundee FC. “John Brown is a man with real heritage and history at Dundee FC and when at Dens Park in his time as a player, he was a real inspiration, a fans favourite and scored some vital goals. He has never lost his feelings for the club. “He has been a coach at Rangers and Clyde and was a key member of the Ibrox coaching and scouting set-up until last summer. “Having met and spoken with members of the board and CEO Scot Gardiner this week, his passion for Dundee was instantly evident and his willingness to step up to the plate for the remainder of the season, alongside his immediate understanding of what we as a club need from the position, convinced us he is the man to address the challenges ahead. “There is still a lot to play for this season and John is looking forward to working with assistant manager Ray Farningham, the coaching staff and our full squad of players.” Bizarrely, Dundee will now start another round of interviews in a bid to find a permanent manager. SunSport understands Gardiner will begin speaking to candidates to take the post from the summer onwards. Brown WILL be considered for the long-term job but could find himself working to the end of the season with a different boss primed to come in. The statement said: “The club will continue to assess and review the longer-term situation, but due to the mixed challenges of our current league position and the uncertainties over League reconstruction, it is impossible for us to set a budget for next season and coming years. “Hopefully that position will become clearer very soon and we will then look to appoint a manager in a full-time, longer-term position.”

Don't ask me, i am a terrible gambler. I'd take my winnings and buy myself something nice. Dundee look more likely to me.
There's a Celtic goal coming, it's gonna be a scrappy poachers goal. Money down on Hooper and Stokes.
