120 posts for a game that didn't happen, that has to be a record! Seriously though the players have spent quite a few hours on the bus for nothing, but in the fullness of time I hope this week off will mean the players are totally ready for the Derby game as I have it down as a win. And right now we need to be gaining league points.
sorry guys about this. especially those who have travelled and lost days work and money for travelling etc. the game would of gone ahead without policing as its not a high profile game. there would of been just extra stewarding. however there was problems along gloucester road which if you look on google maps for our stadium (more of a shed) you can see how close the road is. its actually spitting distance! when the game finishes, a lot of fans go down that road and thats a major bus route for a lot of fans. also that road and bus route would go through the stokes croft area where most of the riots are taking place. so at 10pm going down that area, obviously the police are worried about this. on local radio, the staff at rovers are not happy about this decision but felt that with peoples homes being lost, livelihoods being lost, things are more important. i just rather get to normality. i hate letting these cucking funts run things.
Rovers don't have much fans anyway so the attendance would of been something rubbish like 2,000, like their league games
coming from a city with stats like this citys 1st home game last season 07/08/10 vs millwall =18,308 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/8881366.stm citys 1st home game last season 06/08/11 vs ipswich = 13,107 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14351931.stm a 5,000 dip. ouch!
Come on Millens Red Robins - 'much' fans? Surely you meant 'many' fans? You even edited for a typo! Sort it out boy! Yours A. Pedant.
When was the last time you had 10,000 + at your shed ? Will you get into double figures for your first home game It's a shame both games have been called of because of the scum
Now now ladies calm down! Cant we all be friends?? Who am i kidding!?!?! Thats like asking me to hug a L*t*n Scum fan!!!
millens, our attendances will go up while your will decline. what will happen to your name when your manager gets sacked??
Milly, I wonder how many fans you will take to Cardiff if the game goes ahead? what was it last time....600? for your BIGGEST derby apparently??
The only good thing to come out of Tuesday night's postponement from Watford's point of view is that...YOU'RE STILL IN THE DRAW FOR THE NEXT ROUND
I don't like being in the draw for the next round before we've played. If we get a reasonably big team (european teams get a bye to round three anyway, so it'll be a smaller Premier League lot), it'll be more of a motivation for Rovers than it will be for us.
