People are giving Diaby, Benayoun and others 5's but a 5 is an average score. I'd give a 5 if somebody did okay. But our entire midfield was non-existant throughout the first half. RVP had to drop deep to collect the ball because he was getting no service and both assists were from defensive players (Song and Sagna). Benayoun, Rosicky, Arteta and Diaby when he came on were pedestrian and out-muscled by the Liverpool midfield who looked fresher and hungrier. This did change a little more in the second half but to say they had good, or even average, games is wrong I think.
out-muscled was actually an astute observation, we haven't commented on. they did indeed win most contests by barging, charging, using weight against us. We did look lightweight at times.
