But your being an idiot in trying to start something that isn't there. He said the 2-2 comment as a "come on lads that's like a win if we tighten up" not in a "well at least we got back from 2-0 down to 2-2. Regardless of the 5-2 it still feels like a win" which is what you're saying he meant. Nothing to do with defending Sunderland, jus understanding what he actually meant instead of thinking he meant something he blatantly didn't. Hence the imbecile comment

Not really Smug. Marcus has proven time and again it's impossible to really have a discussion with him about Sunderland unless you're ****ing them off. If you're happy with a manager, after a 6-2 defeat, saying that coming from 2-0 down to draw level makes it feel like a win, then power to you <ok>

You've added in that "if we tighten up a bit" comment yourself though haven't you?

You misunderstood what he was saying, that's all.

I'm not happy tonight but I won't say too much until it sinks in.

Yes I have. But the only reference to the quote came from you also so you could've made that up. I know exactly what allardyce meant. You think he meant "we feel like we've won because we got back to 2-2 so job well done" you are an idiot cardew. Regardless of me adding that comment, it's what I reckon he'd have been getting at. Unlike Steve feels like a win because we had more of the ball and more shots.

Chuffing hell lads......! These things happen and in fairness, are likely to happen a few more times this season (for both of us).

In reference to what Sham ****adyce said, did he mean from a momentum point of view? Surely coming back from 2 down to 2-2 would have implied that you were in the ascendancy and Everton looked shot? I didn't watch the match nor listen to the interview so I am not best placed to comment but my assumption would be that.

Possibly, possibly not. But Marcus has second guessed what Allardyce meant and apparently those who didn't read the comments in that way are idiots. I just read the quotes at face value, it is marcus who is reading what he wants to read. And you, apparently.

So to be clear...I am an idiot and "read what i wanted to read" etc.
But I am the one who has taken quotes at face value, while you are adding your own bits to them, changing them, and then calling anyone who doesn't agree with your point of view an idiot?
    You're an embarrassment mate.

Not certain what he meant tbh mate but I've heard managers say more stupid things than that so it wouldn't surprise me.

If you believe Allardyce is so stupid he said that a 6-2 defeat feels like a win because it was level at 2-2 then fair enough.

As I said, only reference to the quote is from you. Not sky or bbc

    Actual quote:
Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce: "The defensive frailties were just too much today and we allowed Everton to win the game comfortably in the end. If we don't sort those out, it will be a long haul over the next few months or so.

"I don't understand why they did it. We came here to look after Everton and we didn't play too bad in the first half at all, and for us to get it back to 2-2, that should be enough for us today. We needed to make sure Everton just couldn't score but we made it so easy for them to score three in seven minutes."

So where's the reference you speak of? And I'm an embarrassment?

    Am I missing summat?

Coming back to 2-2 away from home, after losing 2-0, would feel like a win ......... if you won!

I don't know mate. If the comments posted by Marcus above are the ones that this journo has got his tweet from then it's just inaccurate quoting.

And he just stopped talking and walked away! A Twitter quote (limited in characters) and you read it the way mcclaren said his 0-3 reverse was said? Only a seriously anti safc Or anti Sam (or both) would read it that way. Guessing you are both

Did you read that Elliot had already collected the ball by the time Coloccini knocked Fletcher over <whistle>

He hadn't ....... unless you fancy £100 bet on it.

If he had, what does that make Coloccini?
