Valid point made by Gary Lineker on the BBC site, couldn't the match be delayed a couple of hours to see if the rain abaited, people are twittering that the rain has stopped and there is blue skys over Sunderland at the moment, has it it called off in haste. Suppose we will never know.
 
I will tell the people walking past my front window to put their brollys away and ignore the grey skies then.
It's still raining.
