and just as i mention our luck being out, west ham score at tottenham and we now find ourselves in the bottom three over the international break, despite playing extremely well today

Actually, I'm going to disagree with Supers, we did sit back after scoring. Not for long, admittedly, but there was perhaps a 3-4 minute spell where Chelsea were back on top, and I think if we'd continued to push during that time, Chelsea would have stood less of a chance of getting back in front. Sickening way to lose though!

I can't believe West Ham, as someone on the BBC live text put it: "West Ham are the most boring, lucky, dire and undeserving side in the league.", and whilst that's possibly going a bit far, they do seem to have an awful lot of luck.

We're not a bottom 3 side, but looking at our next few fixtures, the Cardiff game is crucial or we might be in one of those spots for a while. Over the course of the season though, this side has enough about them to survive.

that wasn't us 'sitting back'! that was chelsea noticing they weren't winning anymore and applying pressure!! players of that quality have the ability to pin you back but it soon fizzled out and we got back on top until the goal

    absolutely NO NEED to panic.

league position isn't particularly relevant (although it's not nice to see us in the bottom 3) but what is important is that we are now starting to look like we have found a first choice system and the players to pick in it - still things to work on but they are things that can be worked on with the personnel we have on our books. never happy to be 18th in the league at any stage but i liked what i saw again today - i think we built on the win at stoke.

Totally agree. The performance is what matters at this stage. The new midfield combination looked very good again and Fer grows in stature with every game. Absolutely no need to panic!

It begs the question, how long can the bitterness of someone so insignificant last?

No doubt when we do finally get relegated in twenty years time, he will jump up and down shouting, "see! I knew I was right!"

Keep up the good work Mikey!

What Mikey wouldn't give us to let him have CH! Poor old Mike; yet another false dawn in Colchester -- and nobody to listen to his pearls of wisdom on their NOT606 board either! <ok>
