That goal should have stood! How we haven't won that game is beyond me, but Hughton done nothing wrong again yet I expect him to get all the stick and Hughton out brigade will be in full swing.
Norwich frustrate me - we go forward, we pass back. We move it up, it comes back. The forwards need to face the midfield a bot more and do give and go practice. The units are not communicating properly and Fer's mistake at the end was pure frustration I'm sure. Too much goes through our wingers and Snodgrass frustrates the **** out of me. All very well dinking past one player, but how many times does he run into a wall when a pass is on? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Forget whether that goal should stand or not, I would not want to be remembered as a team who scores after our opponents put it out of play so our players can get treatment. The real question is why do we always play teams who have a goalkeeper or centre-half have the game of their life?
That had three points written all over it. What infuriates me the most is people getting in the way balls deflecting off our own players or not giving one another space in the Cardiff box. We played well but were wasteful once again the supply lines need to be worked out Hooper got service but at times it was of a poor quality. We lack a player with a final ball.
About once of twice in the second half and that was it. Pilkington lost the ball far more often but then I guess he isn't official scapegoat of 2013/14 taking over from Michael Turner and Steve Morison before that?
Not sure why pills went off instead of snoddy, he was anonymous in the second half. Not sure why he takes every single corner/ free kick either. Not really that great. Very disappointing to not be able to score against hull with 10 men and cardiff at home.
If play had been restarted the goal should stand. However I imagine the ref will just claim he had not restarted play. Saying that Im pleased he didn't give it and maybe he just used some common-sense. We don't want to be winning games in that manner. Overall good performance and should of won with the chances we created, but again poor finishing has cost us.
I agree with you about Snodgrass his annoying, can't fault his effort but his quality is so poor sometimes and he worryingly seems very relaxed about it.
This...it's as if he is the effing don! Far too much reliance on his "Service"which isn't all that IMO
His being sloppy this whole season, when are people going to wake up and stop giving him a free pass?
We did everything except score. Such a shame that Eliot Bennett is injured because Snodgrass really needs taking down a few pegs. We wouldn't be in the bottom three if that asshole hadn't decided that he took the penalties. He needs to realise that we took him out of the championship and to be ****ing grateful for that.
It's funny that's how you see it, but most of the time we looked like scoring he was involved heavily. Of course he will lose the ball at times because he is a creative player and those types don't get it right every time. With Bennett injured, the only other winger we have is Redmond who is even more greedy and likely to lose the ball. I know it is hard to take failing to beat Cardiff today especially given that we have been beaten by teams even when we've played better than them and yet here we can't make our utter dominance count. But Snodders isn't the reason for that.
What I was thinking. Somehow he singlehandedly lost us the Villa game by missing a penalty which would somehow of been worth two goals too. Maybe it is his fault our opponent's goalkeepers always put in obscene displays?
Sorry, but I hate jumped up little prats, and Snodgrass is a jumped up little prat. Bennett may be less talented than Snodgrass overall, but he works for the team. Unlike Snodgrass, who seems to labour under the delusion that he is Messi. That penalty decision is why we are where we are. Full stop. And he has done nothing to justify why he should be in the team since. You can forgive people like Ronaldo or Ibrahamovich being tossers, but not a run of the mill player like Snodgrass. I'd be happy if we sold him back to Leeds and got a player who worked for the team instead of his own ego.
Snoddy didn't kill anyone, I just vent at him as I feel his overall play exemplifies what is wrong with NCFC. Does a good job initially then forgets the simple bit - passing it to another TEAMMATE. Far too selfish IMO and so many times the simple ball is there and yet he opts to take it on the inside and involves two more defenders, and then has either ran himself into a dead end and the option to pass has been lost, or the player who was on is now out of position. As a winger he needs to work on this simple part of the game - beat a player, pass. Not beat a player look for more to beat for glory.
I can't fault his effort but his final deliveries have been poor this season, I find the whole running off into corners a bit tiring too. If I'm to be honest with you we're poor in that final third all round, we over complicate things and get in each others way that's a team problem rather then it being down to an individual. Cardiff went out there to defend but we failed to punch through them as a team or dissect them we're one dimensional, in January I think it's vital that we buy an attacking midfielder which can open up defences.
