Unusually positive pre-match thread! Even surgeryman is predicting RvW to score! Like most, I'm a bit nervous about this one, but it's down to the players to perform and compensate properly for last week!
Gutted today, ****ed my knee up at work, have had to give my ticket away for today's game. Looks like an afternoon shouting at the radio.
Ruddy; Martin, Yobo, Bassong (c), Olsson; Snodgrass, Howson, Tettey, Hoolahan; Elmander, Hooper. Bunn (GK), Whittaker, Johnson, van Wolfswinkel, Gutierrez, Becchio, Redmond. versus Foster, Reid, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell, Amalfitano, Morrison, Mulumbu, Dorrans, Sessegnon, Vydra. Myhill (gk), Thievy, Berahino, Dawson, O’Neil, Gera, Anichebe.
Yes, pleased Yobs is back - has a steadying effect on my nerves for some reason. I think this looks like a good balanced team. Elmandino is due another goal and a talismanic end to the season. RvW needs a season on loan to Ipswich. At least not scoring for them would give us something to laugh about. In all seriousness though - what about a loan to a Championship club next season? Somewhere where they feed their strikers food and not what ever it is he isn't eating. A year away banging in the goals might help the lad out. I'm basing this premise on us staying up. He'll probably score 10 now before close of season. Which would be nice.
It's a good side however it still suffers from the lack of balance we had last week. If we can dictate the play then it shouldn't matter. If Mel watched our last game though I would imagine he's told them to try and take advantage hopefully we can play well enough to not give them the chance.
