Murphy for redmond for me, in the minutes he's had he's produced than redmond for a while now for me. Redmond needs pressure lifted off him. But I think that's how we have to go on tuesday night. Could also play miquel for hooiveld.
Bang on. Always on the half turn looking to get going. Grabban was very poor. Think wes was played out of the game in the first half by scott parker who apart from a few dirty(ish) tackles was exceptional for them. But we couldn't get anyone close to jerome, needed howson for johnson
Considering we had Howson, O'Neil and Odjidja-Ofoe all sat on the bench and a Johnson who was off the pace for the entire game, yet not replaced, I'd suggest there's a danger of us becoming as formulaic as we were under Hughton although at least we press higher up the pitch and have more pace now. But we're too frickin' easy to work out and defend against. And with a big squad, packed with decent players, why do Martin, Johnson and Wes get to start every game, no matter who the oppo is and regardless of how poorly they are performing? I don't understand.
Yeah really. The fact that we have such a large squad is our biggest asset and we should have a range of formations and tactics to choose from. Why we are continuing to be so rigid is bizarre. We are neither functioning as an attacking or a defensive unit at the moment - why persist when we are below par in both areas?
Murphy's been playing on the left for us, would you move him to the right to replace Redmond, or play Lafferty or Bennett on the right? Whilst I can see the need for changes, at the same time you need some consistency in selection. If Adams has a "best" back 5 in mind, then giving them a run together makes sense so that they can develop an understanding. Whether he's playing his best back 5 is up for debate though, and whether more subtle changes are needed.
Adams should dedicate a week to Corner kick training we are awful . Some may see Hooper as our stand out centre forward but he didn't have a single shot again. Grabban was poor today and Jerome not much better. We splashed out on centre backs and central midfielders that don't even play.
I know nothing about the game today, other than the scoreline, so my comments may be a bit wayward. But why do we keep playing 4-4-2? It worked for 45 minutes against Cardiff. That's it. 4-2-3-1 was working perfectly well up until that game but Neyul now refuses to play it. 4-4-2 is archaic, easy to play around and means Hoolahan (who in my opinion should be nowhere near the team anyway) is played out of position. I would also now like to take this opportunity to apologise for not sooner appreciating others' criticisms of Grabban. He seems very average and not good enough for a side pushing for promotion. Hopefully no longer being top will shove a rocket up everyone's backsides. We have no divine right to win this league.
Either, murphy deserves to play for what he's provided in the minutes he's had. Redmond doesn't warrant the place as much as him at the moment in my opinion.
we played 4-2-3-1 until wes got injured. Grabban was playing on the left. he didn't play well. wes central looked good in second half until he got injured, first half he was played out of the game by scott parker who was quality for them.
Yes it was 4-2-3-1, which at least it was a move in the right direction. The problem was that Tettey and Johnson didn't keep possession well enough and push forward to support Wes likre they were doing earlier in the season.
'We were grateful for the massive interest shown by fans from clubs up and down the country...' http://www.millwallfc.co.uk/news/ar...516-revealed-2023929.aspx#Fr17mHjIhGM48vjw.99
However, having cross referenced all those who voted with with our database, we validated only those votes cast by Millwall supporters to produce the result which will see Ian Holloway's men running out in the predominantly white kit with the vertical blue stripe (option 2) next season. I do not remember entering my name or email address when voting, so how exactly did they manage to cross-reference anything?
I thought Redmond played well. Had the number on his opposite man for the first half and linked up really well with Hooper in the second. His corners leave a lot to be desired, but that's hardly just his fault. I agree that Murphy must be close to a starting spot, but it should be for Grabban out left rather than Redmond IMO
I would switch Martin for one of the Spanish CB's Cueller probably ,Hoolahan for Howson Oneil for Johnson and Grabban for Murphy. 3 games without a win scoring 1 goal against 2 struggling sides is not promotion winning form. If that doesn't work chuck on Hooper snd the Belgiun at half time.
Very, very, very unlikely. I am guessing they really didn't fancy wearing pink, and regretted adding it as a choice
The only thing they'd have to cross-reference against would be people who had used their site before presumably. IP or cookies would potentially work I guess, hardly my area of expertise though.
I agree about the need for a change. I took it as a positive that city played a 4-2-3-1 yesterday (until Wes had to go off). Josh seems to be the favourite plan B at the moment, but like others I'm puzzled about why Howson stayed on the bench. The game was crying out for a CM who could retain possession and drive forward to link up with Wes and the attacking players, something both Johnson and Tettey were both having difficulty doing. If they both start against Leeds I'll be very worried. I'd have Lafferty coming in for Grabban if he's fit.
