Disagree with the free kick being a lucky goal. It was played into the perfect area, hence it went in the goal and was only inches from two players anyway. The only useful thing Oscar did all game. He does seem to have a decent free kick on him. Agree with the rest though, lucky to get a point and need to improve massively for next weekend.
From last season towards the end, he looked suspect. He is too adventurous and that doesn't help either. Dave also needs rest and rotation. Our best defence from last season will be best only if, Zouma plays consistently at a higher level & proper rotations for Ivan & Dave. Without the remediations, Our back 4 will be far from Best this season.

Obviously too early to jump off the cliff, but the performance was a replay of too many of our poor games last year. Ivan had an implode, he needs to be rotated with Dave at right back and Ivan as CD a bit. Problem is who plays left back? Think we really stuffed up that position letting Bertrand and Luis go. Even if we get the new bloke, who says he'll be any good straight away? Zouma can play as CD or in Matics' spot so we have options. Surely Jose is onto these problems, he is already stressed judging by his ridiculous criticism of the medics. Pace and power is what we lack everywhere except front 3, and not much power there either.
CP - I don't want to jump off yet. I will not be concerned as long as Goons are our rivals for the title. If Manures & City got any kind of momentum in the first half of season, we are screwed. My expectation is they will implode. They need to be 8 to 12 pts behind us when we reach the last 10 matches. For that to happen, Jose needs to up his game big time. I agree with you regarding Rahman. He looks light weight as well. I won't be 100% sure either. Criticizing med team is a joke. Eden is a tough kid and he was really struggling there.

My view is that we were up against a very good Swansea side and they were well worth their point. At least they came to the Bridge to play football and not to put every man behind the ball and wait to hit us on the break. They played open fluid and combative football and it was a good spectacle. Very early days but we still look jaded in many areas as we were against Arsenal at Wembley. With ten men at the end we could have won it because Costa and Falcao together up front looked a massive threat with their running. The two handed shove on Costa - right at the end - deserved the free kick that we could have scored the winner from. We're slow out of the blocks with just the home point to start with but there's no reason why we can't win the league again.

No one is panicking. Jose needs to lock in the title by adding proper support cast and rotate. 20+ million for unproven LB from Bundesliga is too much of a risk. Would rather rotate some youngsters. Some of our signings are like city signings - throwing money around. Surprising that we have less net spent.
I'd love us to get another quality CM alongside Matic, hopefully RLC will step up, but also another quality creative wide man to rotate with Willian. We can't leave it up to Hazza every game... Or can we?
TBH wouldn't mind being 10 pts behind goons for the title. Anyone else will be worry. Need support players for CM / Defense. Won't mind too much about wingers / attackers. Bertrand & Moses are decent enough tbh.
City looking good tonight... But in all honesty, we'll only get better. We di play well in patches on satirdah. Up front, we need to be a bit more fluid, defencivley we did alright, just need to stop making individual errors (dave for the 1st, WILLIAN-Who nobody is talking about for some reason!?! for the second). Another cm would be great, but if not, RLC must be getting games this season.
