Joey Barton is an idiot sometimes, we all know that. But as I saw it, the two of them had their heads near each other and Johnson thought quicker and got Barton sent off. Had Barton been as clever, it could have been the other way round.

 

Then why didn't he signal?

I'm not defending Barton, let's just get that out of the way. And i might have been a bit harsh on Johnson, he did nothing wrong, only riled Barton which is fair enough. But it's Holt confronting the linesman when he never took part in the incident that i can't accept. He's a dirty cheat and never shies away when an oppurtunity like this arises.
Can't say either of us have captains to be proud of. But knowing you lot, you love Holty

 

Nothing to say about Bartons red card, if your gonna stick your head in someones face you know a red card is coming. Expected better from some of the Norwich players with all this diving going on, Holt just threw himself into Derry just to get a free kick. Two good goals though.

 

QPR managed 2 shots with 11 men at home, so really we should be looking to win in the the context of the match but an away point is good too.

 

Listening to John Legard summarising at half time on football focus. He said the ref could take his pick on which incident he sent Barton off for as he raised an arm at Whitbread, the thrust his head at Johnson. I'm not watching the game (I'm a bit superstitious) so I haven't seen the incident, but it sounds like there may be more than just the one red card before the end

 

Apart from the barton incident, tackles flying in, 2 good goals, decent game. Now NW has to get the 2nd half right.

Would of taken a draw before the game but it's there for the taking and with the form of some teams below us (Wigan, Sunderland etc) and Swansea winning at Villa I think we could need these 3 and I would be disappointed if we didn't take them.

 

I have to admit I thought Holt went down easily against Derry, but I think he did still catch him. A booking for Derry would have been harsh, but I still thought it should have been a free kick.

I think the point is you can blame the ref, the linesman, Holt or anyone else you want but the real fault lies with Joey Barton for putting himself in that situation as opposed to walking away. Everyone knows he can be a hot head and cannot control himself at times and this I am sorry to say is just one in a long line of incidents he could and perhaps should have avoided.

We're loosing our heads like Chelsea did against us. Could see another sending off. Especially if the rest of the Norwich team are as clever as Johnson.

 

It makes me laugh that Barton is in trouble every week, yet people still defend the prick...... He is not the full ticket, people like him and Tarabt are not the kind of players you want when you are looking down the barrel of relegation.......
