I think CH may be a little more conservative with his tactics but hopefully it will prove enough to keep us up and get all that lovely money that is going to available

I think you're right. If we'd have gone all out for a win we would have left ourselves exposed at the back... and you'd trust Diame not to be as wasteful as we were at times.

Not just Diame, Vaz Te was a threat although not as much as I had feared. The amount of crosses/shots that he hit wildly we unbelievable.

I was vey dissapointed with Surman's 2nd half performance and equally with Houghton for not replacing him ? He couldn't play a forward pass with-out it going to a Hammer, Fox should have replaced him.
West ham are a very poor side, they are physical but not much else, i agree with Welly that under Lambo its a game we would have won, not by half time though.
There seems to be a spark missing from the team its as if by concentrating on not conceeding its affected the forward play !
Defo in my opinion 2 points dropped.

I think Hughton is much more conservative than Lambert and will stick rather than twist. On the other hand, to be fair to Hughton, Lambert had nothing to lose in a way because even if we had not done the double promotion he would still have done his reputation a lot of good. Hughton has more to lose because he is following Lambert and many people seem to be waiting for him to fail so that they can compare him to Lambert. If we keep faith in Hughton, I don't think he will fail in the long-term (although I think relegation this season is a real possibility if I'm honest).

I'd totally agree with all of that Vietnam, including the threat of relegation but i'd bet on us to bounce straight back if it happens.

I think you can see what Hughton has brought to the table, we look more resilient than we ever have in my memory, Fulham game aside.

I feel less anxious watching his team than Lambert's team. However, what we need to see now is better finishing, we created a lot today but lacked that cutting edge.

Kane looked good to me though.

Snodgrass' lack of right foot was painfully evident today though, unfortunately.

You could probably say that about the whole squad though, with the exception of Pilkington.

Apparently Butterfield is so two-footed, he doesn't know which is his stronger one! Can't wait to see him!

Are we going to see two footed shots then? That would be interesting!

I was listening to Alastair Campbell on Soccer AM last week and he was saying that he prefers it in the Championship as the Premiership is not all that getting hammered week in week out. I know that is a bit of a cop out because of where Burnely are right now and it justifies their position but I can sort of see what he means as the unpredictability of the championship is unrivalled.

If we stick with Hughton long term i think we will be just fine - depends how long the ignorant boo boys give him if it is looking precarious this season. I think under Hughton we would destroy the Championship if thats where we end up at the end of the season because I think he has assembled a better team than we had last year. Unfortunately for us the premiership is far more competitive this season than last.
