Arsenal fans singin "you've only come to see the Arsenal" shows total lack of knowledge and disrespect.

I think they mean 'we've only come to see Van Persie!'

Holt caught out attempting a sneaky dive - booked by the referee. That won't make him anymore popular outside Norfolk.

Why would he be given a red card? <doh> Red cards are for dangerous play or 2 bookable offences.

Well that's that then. We got we a deserved a beating. Defence did brilliantly as did Morrison up front, but we gave away the ball waaayyyy too often.

  8. Thank God for RvP but we should have had an armful of goals today. When will this team ever learn?

For the first time this season, I feel really pissed off with the performance i.e. our lack of ability to pass the fecking ball to a team mate

gave the ball away just a few too many times allowing them to build pressure. Feel sorry for Russy Martin he looked gutted to give the ball away but he did the right thing we needed to get out of our half and we were just passing it back to them at that point. Decent performance again against a big team on top form

It was a reasonable performance, sloppy at times and it cost us. Can't be too gutted, plenty of positives!

Indeed not. I was just about to say how refreshing it was to see a ref that not only spotted Holt’s 20,000th career dive but actually booked the cheating **** for once. If only clown Championship refs last season had half the sense.

But then, in the 92nd minute, he gets vaguely tapped in the back, ponders for a full second and tumbles BACKWARDS along with all the trademark Lambert training ground technique – arms flailing dramatically in the air and all.

What does the clown ref do?

    Bloody incredible.

Did you notice earlier in the game Lambert had the cheek to feign outrage at the ref signalling (yet another) Norwich dive as the cause of his decision. Was Van Persie’s second goal celebration a reference to Norwich diving by any chance?

First full on dive I've ever seen Holt do to tbh. He causes defenders problems and makes them make mistakes hence he wins fouls.

But what worried me about this performance was that we actually created very few chances, compared to Arsenal where had at least 5 should of been goals and about 15 good chances in total.

A typical performance against the 'big boys' today - not that good but some how we cling on to make the scoreline look respectable. I have said from day 1 of the season - we give the ball away too easily and too often. Today we were punished for it.

Good to see the Binners getting pissed off with GH's antics on the pitch <ok> Hope it makes your blood boil, stresses you out to the point of a stroke <laugh> Now piss off <ok>

good match, if arsenal had someone like rooney alongside van persie up front they'd have scored 5 in that match, the football is still good by arsenal its just the play in the final 3rd isnt as clinical as it should be, therefore they had to hang on til the end.

i wonder if the doom and gloom merchants are still calling for wengers sacking <laugh>

I was reading an article in the Gooner fanzine. As the author said the people calling for AW's head are those that post on internet forums not those that actually attend games

Must admit I was shocked to see some of what was written on the Arsenal board in August. Yes the 1st few games were not great for you and the knee jerk reaction to that was ridiculous. Wenger is still a great manager, Arsenal are still a great team - get behind them, even in rough patches <ok>

Who the hell cares what Jonah thinks? He only has one topic anyway, he just words it differently each time. Idiot.

This was a game against a team who have only been outside the top four twice in eighteen years. We shouldn't be that disheartened. Hopefully the lessons we learned will make us stronger.

Not disheartened Gandy but it is somewhat annoying to see the ball given away all too easily. It looks like there is no composure sometimes.

I must apologise for my minimal input today, I guess age is catching up with me!

I went out shopping this morning and had a fall, fell on my front with my arm under me, and I reckon I've cracked a rib!

Thank God we didn't win today, goodness knows what damage I would have done celebrating;)

I'm going to get pissed now, so if I fall again I'll at least have an excuse :)

Take care all, I'm off to lick my wounds!

    <cheers>
