Rangers fan in peace!

Bl$&dy hell, and I thought our fans didn't get on together!

Stumbled onto the Leeds article about you signing Snodgrass (very good piece of business, by the way)

The invective feelings from their fans is.... shocking.....

I know you've just signed one of their best players, but they can't seem to understand why he'd want to leave Leeds for a team that finished mid table in the Prem.

And they think Leeds is a nicer place to live.....!

There is some bitterness, maybe it's frustration that their proposed takeover isn't getting through.
also we were neck and neck with them in League 1 and CURRENTLY we are ahead of them, might have something to do with it.

good luck to QPR next year

I don't like that Leeds are stuck in the Championship. It makes it harder for the feeder club to train up our future stars!

i think norwich and leeds fans generally get on rather well - there has been a bit of a rivalry formed and there have been some titanic games between the two. to be honest they are behaving no more bitter than many of our own fans when lambert left, indeed many still are bitter. we've been through quite a lot with leeds these past few years from league one title battle to us nabbing their best players. i think their venom, if there is any, is frustration that they can see how our paths have been trodden and that they could have been in our position with a bit more gumption. i can't imagine its that pleasant to be labelled a 'feeder club', though they seem to have forgotten that they've just bought half the pompey team! the issue is the owner and that's why they are all annoyed, not with us. we've been there ourselves - the family silver being sold off for pittance. ken bates, robert chase - most clubs go through a period with an owner like this at some point. i feel a bit sorry for them because i remember how i felt under the same circumstances. i think they are wrong when they claim leeds is a nicer place than norwich - i think they are confusing 'nice' with 'grim' or at least 'leeds' with 'yorkshire', which is beautiful, but most of them have probably never even stepped foot in norwich. if they did they might get a nice surprise or two.

Cheers Max, good luck to you guys too. Hopefully we'll both have a good start, and can have a competition to see who finishes higher in mid table next season :)

I'm guessing our turn will come after they lose their first couple of games and Paddy has a nightmare!

Supers has summarised it perfectly.

I've been chatting to a work colleague in Leeds this morning and their vitriol, while aimed at us initially, is firmly centred on their board and the lack of guile, ambition, gumption, call it what you will, but they see how we've kicked on from our position in League One (where we once trailed them by 12 points remember) and having seen us progress they see themselves as regressing or at best, treading water.

We've had good banter with the Leeds fans since our time together in L1 and I'm sure that the banter will improve once the shock of the Snoddy's transfer wears off.

Agree that 'super' has summed it up nicely, though I'm not sure about the bitterness many have over Lambert leaving (admittedly not the point of the article)

Nobody I've spoken to, including me (I often talk to myself) are bitter at all. Maybe I need to read the Pink 'Un to get an informed view.

Spot on about Leeds fans though. Can't blame them feeling aggrieved - I do feel a bit sorry for them, and Bates can't take ALL the flak.

check out some of the vitriol between villa and city fans on twitter gandy and you'll realise that we have just as many moronic and bitter fans as leeds do. its embarrassing seeing some of the utter crap coming out of some peoples fingers! to be fair, on 606 its been a bit more relaxed - people can see the bigger picture - though there are one or two who appear unable to get over it and would probably accept our own team to be relegated if it meant lambert failed too <doh>

Like it NCG! I do the same - it's the only way I can have an intelligent conversation around here sometimes!

I agree that we've all been there with carp owners - hell, we were there this time last year, all be it under somewhat different circumstances. I think that's why we're enjoying TF so much.

I agree that Super's post is probably about right - and I do sympathies with Leeds. At least with Warnock, they've got a manager who knows how to get them into the Prem. I just found it amusing stumbling on their thread after some of te banter/summing that's gone on between our boards recently

Fair comment super, I don't really do twitter (I've tried, but just can't get into it, probably for the very reason you state).

If that true, it's very sad. People on here, and people I've spoken to 'in real life' are happy with our new man. The rest can go to hell. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I have nothing against Norwich, but when we get the 'feeder club' taunts, we're gonna chuck some **** back rather than just taking it, aren't we?

If you check back loiner, I've always said I feel sorry for you lads! It was bad enough what Ridsdale put you through, even though his intentions were good, but what this twat has done to your club, and been allowed to get away with it by the toothless authorities, beggars belief!

For your sake, I hope he either sells up or dies very soon!

<ok>

It would never stick on you, Loiner, you move around too much!

:emoticon-0105-wink:

Do agree that taunting like that is uncalled for.

Ive got nothing against Norwich thieving twats haha

Goal Music needs scrapping though. Forest/Wigan = Goal Music ****ers not Norwich :)

i could be wrong but i'm pretty sure the goal music has been scraped next season?

to be fair to us, we get criticised for having goal music, people claim it is because we can't create our own atmosphere. its total bollocks! they did some kind of noise test when we were in the championship and we came out loudest in the league! it was brought in in the late 90s to get more kids involved in the games. it worked as our crowds almost doubled since then. its never really bothered me but i would prefer to not have it <ok>
