So it was comedy? DMD continues to claim it wasn't meant as a joke.

Perhaps if in the first instance his reply had been "Apologies it was a bit of black humour to process the situation, sorry if that crossed the line for anyone", but he went on the offensive instead, claiming it was my fault for misinterpreting it as a joke.

 

He's confused having a dig at a system that seems to produce these people, despite investing in people to cater for their every needs, with somehow condoning domestic violence.

It's a strange leap of rational that must take mental somersaults to come up with. I guess I should be offended at being accused of condoning it, but it's such a ridiculous claim, it just leaves me feeling a bit sorry for him.

 

Some of us have the emotional intelligence to identify something that serves both functions.

 

Drop the condescension please mate, DMD was well aware of what he was doing, as I was aware of what he was doing. He's been called out with his hand in the cookie jar and is now blaming me for it being there.

 

Yeas, sorry, I must go away and reflect on how condescending I sound.

I have no issue with you mate but jumping in to defend a joke about DV probably isn't the way to go about things.

Time to move on, DMD has shown his colours and it's a little sad but that's the way things go.

 

It wasn't a joke about domestic violence. That's why.

The butt of the joke is to ridicule the ones in the position of power who assume an entitlement to perpetrate it.

It was a civil trial as the criminal prosecution in Scotland didn’t proceed.

Unfortunately he should be allowed to carry on his profession, shouldn’t he?

 

Also slightly off kilter..... good to see the MET are not pressing charges on the guy who mowed down and killed he man who stabbed his ex to death in Maida Vale London..
