Greenwood is a commodity and many lawyers will pore over it investigating every Avenue If he’s guilty as and no wiggle room then they’ll cut him adrift
That thread mentions earlier comments about Southgate and the Man U manager mentioning Greenwood's off field issues made him unsuitable for the national team. Clearly that doesn't necessarily link to these allegations, but it does suggest that there were issues that needed to be addressed, and that a fair number of people were aware of, but apparently doing little to address.
Even if convicted, he’ll be out by his mid-20s and playing again I reckon. Unlike Mendy, Sigurðsson, Johnson, the victim is his partner and not a minor, so his lawyers will argue for leniency because of his age and due to a ‘lover’s spat that escalated, which he regrets’ or some such bollocks. I just feel for the poor girl involved.
I remember people thinking Southgate’s comments at the time were strange. Makes a bit more sense now if these allegations are true. Original Instagram posts attributed to his gf/partner have now been deleted. GMP notified and conducting enquiries. MoH
SEEMINGLY he may have been the player implicated in a kidnap of his girlfriend last year if you read the United thread DMD linked....
Not surprisingly his employers have issued a statement stating 'Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice.' Or indeed, ever.
ENGLAND youngsters Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood were sent home from England's hotel in Iceland for breaking Covid-19 guidelines in September of last year. The pair snuck in two Icelandic girls to the England hotel which resulted in pictures of the three lions stars being leaked on social media. MoH
The audio is going to be key to any decision to prosecute as the victim may not cooperate once things have calmed down (I hope that she does btw). MoH
England squad to to play in Iceland during lockdown, 2 or 3 players sneaked off to play with some models. Forgetting they had wife's and girlfriends back home
