Regarding the poster Niall supposedly being Billy's young son, I just thought it was a standing joke which we were all just were playing along with, because I have never doubted that they were one and the same person (although I believe that Billy may well have a young son of that name). Regarding the ban, well I'm sad to say that it has been coming, because the boundaries have well and truly been crossed many times. I sincerely hope that bill can get himself sorted out, because he has been a very good poster at times.
Agree totally with RAW. Billy put massive work into this site, and was a great poster on loads of occasions. On a personal note, he replied yesterday to a thread I started about the bits of the ground to take kids into, and also went out of his way to PM me in May when he knew I was taking my bairn to Euro 2012 in Ukraine to mention the BBC documentary about violence there. Could be a great bloke. Could be the opposite too. The stuff he wrote about delighting in the Bloody Sunday deaths was truly horrific and after numerous warnings ... well, patience can't be forever.
Even today I warned him first, and I received abuse for it. The lad clearly has problems, and this forum is not the place to solve them.
Agreed Mush. Sorry if my post gave the opposite impression. I agree with what you did. Racist abuse against Irish people for the nth time. You asked him to stop. He didn't. All I'm saying is he has his good side too. Pity the Dark Side prevailed.
Fair points mate. I think a lot like me just ignored it, unless it was directed at us. I know when he started on one, I used to just ignore his posts or if I wasn't involved in the thread I would just avoid it all together. After all I have had some right laughs with him in the past. Looking back I actually regret not voicing my concerns more vocally, as you can only allow anyone whoever they are so much leeway. It's not as if they are one offs this was constant and no matter what time of day their was always some excuse.
There was little point mate, I asked him to refrain politely and privately a few times going back to 2011 now and only ever got ear ache back. Never an apology afterwards either.
It was like a switch clicked in his head and whatever happened he was going to abuse someone. Just like in my Bristow thread, FFS if he wasn't interested why spend so ****ing long in it. Just to have a go at me and anyone else watching a programme he claimed not to know what it was. Yet Niall his 10 year old son knew the programme. Hahaha that did make me laugh mind.
