Martin's was brilliant. His pace off Carroll would be amazing, gutted we never got involved.

Did you even watch him properly? He was terrible on more occasions than not, he only turned up one game in about 10.

He was a threat, but thats about it. And I will never forget his pitiful performance away at villa on the last day. Did nothing but blame everyone else, we needed a striker, he stood out on the wing offering nowt!

An overpaid twat, a shame to the number 9.

An overpaid twat, a shame to the number 9........not a fan then mate? Agree to certain extent definitely better off without him, was saying to me old man other day that there's nobody I would want back from that pitiful season regardless of ability, think, we've got a decent nucleus just fat man holds all the cards and it scares me ****less

I agree that he and Carroll would be unstoppable together, but hey, he left us in our direst hour of need

It was probably for the best anyway, unless he wanted to take a 75% wage cut (Which was what we would have needed to do, considering the financial situation) But it would have put his money where his mouth was with all the "I love the toon" comments he had been making since he arrived

However him going to Birmingham is perfectly hilarious.

I still think that his goal that never was when he hit the bar at anfield would have been goal of the season. There I go again.....would have been..........
