long story
done your shopping in dingles yet ..always hated that place
yep, check the motorcycling board.
interesting thread here. so glad you bumped it.

Dingles?
Where's that? A big shop was closed down on 'Royal Parade' a while back, it may have been the one.
I'd like to personally thank barcode knobs like you for making today even more pleasurable than it already was by your petty and bitter jibes about a universally recognised football manager just because he is ours now.
If he had become your manager I'd have been gutted and very envious and would have happily said as much. Tha fact that so many are havig a go at him tells me everything I need to know about how you really feel.
Gutted.

With a management career that started back in the 1980's, is it a 'bit late in the day' for the Irishman to start over?
Can anyone recall what happened at Norwich City when he took over?
He wasn't there very long and you wonder now, as he approaches his 60th birthday, if he's about to go a bit 'Steve Coppell' on the football world?
His departure from Aston Villa wasn't exactly plain sailing and are Sunderland about to expose themselves to more potential heartache?.
I read that he was a childhood fan of the Wearside club, but is that a good thing?
Surely you can apply too much pressure to yourself if there is emotional investment involved in every decision?
I think an example of this was Alan Shearer's 8-game stint as manager at Newcastle United - he put far too much pressure on himself and made bad decisions like employing Ian Dowie and playing 3 at the back against Liverpool.
Is there a danger that for Martin O'Neill, the 'magic has faded' and he's simply going there knowing that his best days are behind him and looking for a final pay-day ala Fabio Capello?
I'm not worried by the appointment at all. He'll do what is asked of him and that's top half finshes at the end of a season.
It's the same remit as Pardew and we're on track to do that as well. Bring on a more competetive derby.
Anyone else get the feeling if we had just appointed Mourinho and given him £200m to spend he would have still just been an overrated pile of ****e as well?

No, not really but it does show how bothered your lot are to open specific threads to try and put him down. If you didnt rate him or think anything about him then why bother?
The bitterness your lot have oozed out todaty has been all the sweeter for Sunderland fans to be fair though, so please keep them coming.
Been a goooooooood day. Lol
