The only recent report that I have seen (and I appreciate others might have more time than me or greater inclination than me to look) which was the Mail On-line (I think) where he has stated he is looking at bringing in one player this week. Happy to be corrected on that score.

As for my earlier comment on the size of transfer budget - none of us know - but I will add that we seem to be looking for the bargains (other than Jay) as Clyne was out of contract and we took Davis because he was, in theory, out of contract also. We also took Gazza as a back-up goal keeper rather than stumping millions for Butland. Overall, I do not get the impression that our tranfer budget is as large as some posters think.

As you have said no one knows how much we have to spend. But it is more then 10mil as we have basically already spent that and Adkins has said he's looking for more players.

I hope so too because I would like us to sign at least one centre back - two would be better.

Gazza was equally as impressive as Butland in the same division. The difference in price is mostly down to Gazzaniga not being English or internationally recognised. Butland only got called up to the Euros because Foster and Robinson wanted longer holidays. Not saying that he didn't earn it, but it hiked up his price. No point in spending more than we have to. We forked out for Jay Rod because we knew he was good and thought he was worth it.
