I'm not sure about Di Matteo at all. Struggled in an average team in West Brom...we'd be the same. He struggled to get players in at WBA and Chelsea. Not a name for me.
Well I'm not sure about this considering he's set to be announced as our national team manager tomorrow. I think every manager likes cash to be honest but if he's taking a national team job it suggests that having cash isn't a necessity.
I'm talking premiership and he spent a far bit at Celtic of course national teams don't apply. Jol wasn't given bundles, i'm sure he knew that from the start. The move was right for him, back in the London etc knowledge of all his ex Spurs players in their 30's we've snapped up is proof of that. On O'Neill what is the feeling with him being from the North?
Depends who you are really. A lot of people want to see a united Irish team like we have in the rugby so it's not much of a problem. At least he can speak English unlike our last manager! There have been a few people giving out about the fact that Roy Keane is set to take over as his no.2 with Keano having famously walked out on the team during the 2002 World Cup in Japan, and slated FAI president John Delaney. It could be a recipe for disaster or a roaring success, I'm cautiously optimistic at the moment.
No it wasn't me mate! You're right, there aren't many Fulhamish around my parts, I almost feel as though I should know who it was that called in. Did he have anything interesting to say? (If not, I can understand why you might think it was me!)
He was okay. Thought Jol should go but had reservations about it. Unhappy with Berba and Ruiz. Thought Senderos should not be in the team in front of Hughes. Articulate and explained his thinking.
I agree. The big plus on his cv is, of course, the Champions League, but when you look at how he achieved it, it's completely irrelevant for Fulham. His success at Chelsea came from letting the old hands in the team do what they were used to before AVB tried to shake things up. We don't need someone to preserve the status quo.
More than I can say for some of the fans you hear on there! You'd never hear me on Talksport, I have a stutter, I'd get crucified!
