    When you put it like that, McLeish has the better record I'd say, certainly in terms of experience. Like you, I'd have preferred Hughes to McLeish had both been available last summer based on the way their teams have played, but knowing what I know now about Hughes attitude to little old Fulham I'd think differently now.

    This. Hughes has given the impression that he thinks he's too good for clubs outside the top 4/6, when in reality he's not exactly a prize catch for a top club yet. Having said this, McLeish's Birmingham played some dire football last season, when they were so strong the season before.
