How does everyone rate (out of 10) the current PL managers of the teams not considered traditional Top 6 ?

Here's my thoughts;

Newcastle - Howe 9/10
Brighton - De Zerbi 9/10
Brentford - Frank 9/10
Fulham - Silva 7/10
Villa - Emery 8/10
Palace - Viera 6/10
Forest - Cooper 8/10
Leicester - Rodgers 6/10
Wolves - Lopetegui 8/10
West Ham - Moyes 6/10
Leeds - ????????? (was Marsche 5/10)
Everton - Dyche 8/10
Bournemouth - O'Neil 5/10
Saints - Jones 4/10

Clearly we need an 8/10 guy as an absolute minimum.

Pretty much spot on except I’d give Vieira a couple of points more, and Moyes a couple of points less - considering the squads and resources of their respective clubs.

Bit early to judge Dyche and personally I'd be scoring Thomas Frank as a 10. He wouldn't leave Brentford but he would be my choice.

Just a thought…

We assume McKinnie and Rutter were the board backing Jesse, we think it’s weird that we back him and sack him one game later.

What if they’re both Orta signings and with McKinnie, were just assuming because of the American link he was requested by Jesse.

Harrison was nearly gone, strangely Orta called him back. What if we’ve been lining up a new coach for a week or more.

We all feel the 49ers sanctioned the big money spends, if we’d wanted a battler to avoid relegation we’d have acted a week earlier and snatched Dyche, the fact we didn’t suggests we’re aiming bigger, we can’t take a gamble because there is no time.

I don’t believe it will be Corberan or some guy from Spain we have to Wiki, I think the 49ers are going to throw money at this

Purely on the basis that your theory is correct I would say that Pochettino will be the new manager of Leeds United.

Not just some of us on here questioning why Orta scouted Marsch for two years and the club said that Marsch was the successor to Bielsa because of his fast aggressive style on a par with Bielsa’s. The squad would be suited for a quick transition. Well now YEP questioning why because Marsch did everything to move away from Bielsa style and now also Athletic asking same questions. Basically why did Marsch change from what they thought they were getting, indeed Kinnear said at the time that Marsch would carry on entertaining fans, when the opposite happened.

My own view is Marsch realised that Marschball wasn’t enough in the prem, and the club put it down to Marsch having to change his ethos to save the season. Marsch however knew he needed to adapt and this season has been half eaten breakfast with his players not understanding or able to follow his tactics. He was simply out of his depth and it seems Marsch was well liked by Smythy and Hay and a few more local journos who all said he was a nice guy and they wish him luck, but out of his depth and struggled…. Maybe he should have just, made his own style better instead of changing his whole ways of working

Apparently there’s an interview of him airing declaring his undying love of bielsa and his team are playing tonight for those that want to watch. I’ll wait til we know someone’s actually coming before investing time.

Currently 0-0 at halftime. A win would put Rayo Vallecano into a European place.

The brief that Orta had to replace Bielsa was to keep the good work going and build. But instead he brought us yank lampard. Nice one Victor you can add that to your resume along with dan james and fat kev.

Think you'll find it was all 49ers to get JM in ... the fact that Peter Lowy flew in for the Spurs game made it clear he had come over to sack Bielsa ... Orta is a superb DoF

Definitely Orta signings ... building a squad at Leeds regardless of the manager ... that's how it works

His winning record before Leipzig was probably the reason to scout him, makes perfect sense ... when Marsch arrived, first thing he did was to try and belittle Bielsa's work with his stupid "over trained" comments ... he tried to position himself as far away from Bielsa as possible, probably explains his sheer bloody mindedness to force Bull Ball to work ... aslo, fact that he was available after leaving Leipzig gave 49ers the opportunity bring him in early

Watching Rayo Vallecano game at the minute, just gone 2-0 up ... second goal was proper Bielsa Ball with a rapid counter and late runners into box, defenders all dragged across to defend one side and space opened up nicely ... runner appeared from nowhere to smash it in Alioski style

Iraola has worked wonders at Rayo, they're the poor cousins in Madrid behind Real, Atletico and Getafe ... mostly a second division club, in his first season Iraola got them promoted ... last season, against all odds, he took them to 12th in La Liga as well as semi finals of Copa Del Rey

This season he's got them up to 5th and with a win tonight they go level with Atletico Madrid and in the fight for a Chumps Lge place

Iraola clearly knows what he's doing

After Bamfords comments post forrest, maybe he could get a job as player/manager seems to know what he is taking about.

Souness on Sky yesterday said that if you ask any striker in the world what he wants most, it's quick ball ... Marsch Ball was anything but, slow and congested build ups with very few crosses and no space for the striker to get into

It shows how good Rodrigo is that managed to score 12 goals in that awful system

Anyone interested in this guy should read Toms personal stuff as it seems he’s been in his case for a long time and apparently is the closest to Bielsaball and has a defence
