Confirmed by Fabrizio Romano on twitter minutes ago

That's that then

Who next?

No doubt Orta will have been working through a list for the past month, just going to depend on who's available and who has the stomach for a proper fight

Also expect that Armas would have been put on a monthly rolling contract

CANDIDATES

Carlos Corberan

Has shown he has the ability to do a good job ... worked wonders at a skint Huddersfield and only left because he wasn't backed ... doing a sound job at WBA who were looking doomed until he came in ... has learnt from Bielsa and knows the talent in the Academy, would be received positively by Leeds fans ... Prem dogfight is another story though

Bielsa
This would definitely galvanise the fanbase and the dressing room, but honestly can't see El Loco returning to work with this board

Postecoglou
Can't see why he'd want to leave Celtic right now ... maybe next season

Pochettino
A pipe dream I reckon, he wants Chumps Lge ... stranger things have happened

Allardyce
Fk no, but there seems to be a desperate swell of support starting to build for him on social media

Lampard
Incapable of cleaning sh1t off a dressing room floor, not going to be capable of cleaning up this sh1t show

Nathan Jones
Should be available soon ... oh dear

Hockaday
Not even if Cellino buys the club tomorrow

A Left Field Appointment
This is a likely move, a good coach doing good work at a lesser club in Europe

Big decision, brave decision but the thought of relegation kills the 49ers deal and to be fair never known a manager who was so close to the edge being backed by the board is a massive way

18 games for the new guy to do a better job than the last guy did for the 12 games last season

Yank Lampard is gone

Please let it be Bielsa to rescue us again.

If not, & we can't interest Poch, then what about Celtic's Postecoglou? I really rate him.

Corberan? Only if none of the above are available.

Why do I really think that the new manager will be someone I've never heard of?
I was gonna suggest Postecoglou too but not sure he’d come. Glad the other saga is done though. Fed up reading bout him. Over to orta now to start the selection process again

Either we are going to use Armas as interim coach until new guy found or they forgot that he’s here. Skibby must be involved with first team training maybe even Adam Underwood so things need to move fast as we play in 2 days

Not surprised after this drivel at the weekend......

“That is the last step for the potential of where we need to be at. It is my responsibility and I understand their frustration and I accept it,
I have to find a way to turn a lot of the good things that are happening into results or we find ourselves in a stressful situation. I understand.

It’s difficult to have the right words for the team on exactly what is needed right now because the emotion is too much, it is a big week, it is a huge week.

Everyone is aligned, when we don’t get results we get stressed and then instead of managing development we are managing stress.
I am focused entirely on how to help the group in these moments to be what I know they can be.”

Bye Bye Miss American Pie!
