I like where brbr is at tho. Man wants death stars and x fighters and warp drives and planet eaters and that's what we need tbh.<laugh>

Peeps demanding better, thinking outside the box, being truly creative.

Musk is a G tho, even if he makes boring rockets <whistle>

I think landing something on Mars, and sending back pictures, is pretty ****ing wow, personally. And as for the Hubble Telescope, that's an absolute ****ing mind bender.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, let there be light: and there was light...

...off to listen to some Pink Floyd now. Without drugs. 20210304_140858.jpg

@Sucky and @Spurlock don't know they're born. All you needed to go to Mars in the 70s was a pair of headphones, some Liberty Cap mushrooms, and Ummagumma on the stereo

    Tell em, @aberdude

    Laser propulsion - Wikipedia

Be a long time before this can carry humans. Solar sails too. Till then, rockets will be the workhorses that build the travel infrastructure of the Solar System

The technology of robotics are WOW.

My point was aimed at Musk, where is the innovation in return for his billions, I use to draw them sort of rockets when I was five year old mate. I can even show him pictures of 50 years ago, where man lifted off, went to the moon, landed on it, and arrived back to Earth safely. It's like being stuck in a timewarp, watching his latest 50's style expedition. <laugh>

Christmas 1968. I was a kid when they read that from Apollo 8. One of my biggest childhood memories, even bigger than the first landing the following summer.

Had a Thunderbird 2 when I was a kid. Brill toy - had a pod with Thunderbird 4 in it. Loved Thunderbirds, Fireball XL5 and Captain Scarlett. We just assumed space travel was a given when I was a kid, and that we'd be at Mars by the 80's at latest.
