Looks like we are in talks with him, would this be a good signing? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6964236,00.html
do we want him ? he has shown that he is able to score, but will he give a 100% for us ? as a free agent give him a training spell.. proper signing i guess
Sky Sports reported yesterday that he'd signed for Notts County How the hell did they make that cock up...
I think Notts county offered a two year deal i think it said but im sure he would go to a championship team then a league 1 team. As for him giving 100% i think KJ would make him work hard, we will struggle when Morison goes and we don't get someone with a bit of power in the air.
Nicky Ajose's suitors will find out in the next few weeks who has won the race to land the highly-rated Manchester United starlet. It was revealed at the end of the season that a host of Championship clubs were chasing Ajose, and the interest has increased further. The England youth international had a brilliant campaign on loan at Bury, scoring 13 goals as he helped them to promotion to League One. But a host of clubs are now looking to land him with Millwall, Barnsley, Doncaster and newly-promoted Peterborough all ready to make a move. His former manager at Bury - Alan Knill - would also like to take him to Scunthorpe for the season, whilst the Shakers are still hopeful he could return to Gigg Lane. Ajose's agent Peter Morrison of James Grant Sports refused to name any specific clubs, but admitted the interest was growing all the time. "We've had a lot of interest," Morrison told skysports.com. "There will certainly not be a shortage of opportunities for Nicky - which is not surprising given the season he has just had. "Both Nicky and Manchester United are aware of everything that is going on. "All parties will be sitting down in the next few weeks to decide what is best for Nicky and a decision will be made."
Am i the only one that thinks Harewood would be a terrible signing. Ive watched him play a few times. Hes just ****... This one confuses me as much as the Lisbie saga.
I also think Harewood isn't a great signing to make as he didn't exactly light Barnsleys season alight when he was there on loan :/
how about we sign both harewood and lefondre? harewood, despite being an ex-hammer, could be a real handful at this level and get us the 15+ goals we need from somewhere now moro has gone and he's on a free... lefondre seems like a typical KJ signing so i'd like to see that happen too... a front two of them with harris, marquis and mcquoid as back-up would be excellent for us next season, esp now after m&m seem to have got some much-needed confidence from the end of last season.
He scored 4 in 10 for Barnsley which is a pretty decent record considering was on the bench or physio table most of last season. After a full summer working on fitness and getting himself match sharp again he will be a decent player in the championship next season. I reckon this could turn out to be a good signing if we get him. Pace isn't great so would need a nipper alongside to play off him and do most of the running.
people were saying Marquis couldnt play along side Morison because they were similar players well nows his chance to prove that, i know we need another striker and i would like Le Fondre.and we will just have to wait and see what happens but Marquis is only 18 signed a 3 year deal and i would like him to have a decent run in the team i dont think we need LeFondre and Harewood....
I don't see why he wouldn't give 100%, even if he used to play for West Ham. They got rid of him, he's hardly gona have any loyalty for them and will want to play well in order to continue getting paid. Scoring records mentioned sound decent enough and if he can score goals for us (brace against the hammers?) then all the better. The good news is we sold Moro very early in the transfer window so KJ has plenty of time to get the players he wants rather than having to panic buy or worse still not have time to get anyone. Remember Batt will be like a new signing for us and if he can still run like he did he will cause defenses trouble
Ah only decent right back I can think of that was avaliable, WBA have signed him on a FREE TRANSFER! Our ideal signing a freebie http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6964741,00.html
