Former Villa and West Ham forward training with City.
Former Aston Villa and West Ham United striker Marlon Harewood will play some part for City at Forest Green tomorrow (Saturday, 3pm).
The 33-year-old forward is a free agent and will be keen to impress watching head coach Sean OâDriscoll in the pre-season friendly, having joined the first team squad for training this afternoon.
A 6ft 1ins forward, Harewood came through Nottingham Forestâs youth ranks and played more than 200 games between 1996 and 2003, before being sold to West Ham for £500,000.
As a regular top scorer, Harewood helped the Hammers into the Premier League via the play-offs in 2005 and was involved in the FA Cup final a year later, losing on penalties to Liverpool.
Aston Villa came calling in the summer of 2007 and shelled out £4m for his services. He later joined Wolves and Newcastle United on loan, before moving to Blackpool permanently at the end of his Villa deal.
More recently Londoner Harewood has enjoyed spells in China with Guangzhou, back at his first club Forest and last season helped Barnsley survive the drop in the Championship.
