you could set up a computer programme to place bets using this 'system' --if it works you can just get on with your life and let the money roll in ?

If it proves to be profitable and is proofed this forum, I'm sure automation would be the next move and Mark can sell the program. Good luck I say.

well yes--but how long would it last ? i suppose that is the holy grail -identifying the real favs'-

Those pro gamblers spend a big chunk of their lives 'at work' --and as M O G says -retain a discipline that us hobbyists find hard to emulate, whilst always keeping an open mind, its has yet to be established--a proven system to make profit from horse racing.

No such thing as a 'system' you may aswell just pick a number and back that in every race

i recall when you get those strange coincidence happenings--a few years ago every horse that had Cat in its name seemed to win over a two week spell-- but really its a huge amount of amassed knowledge/experience-no short cuts in this game ! I would not like to have to do it for a living--take the fun out of it !

I'm going to try to predict tomorrow's selections, subject to the pricing conditions.

    Lingfield
14.00 Basil Berry (currently 2nd fav at 5/1, fav is 7/2) - needs a market move
15.45 Swivel (currently showing as best price 6/4 fav, 2nd fav showing at best price 7/4)
16.15 Obboorr (currently 2nd fav at 9/2, fav is 5/2) - needs a market move

    How am I doing Mark?

Don't think it does Blue. Doesn't it need another horse in the race that won last time out and not carrying a penalty?

Apologies Ron, I got that all mixed up (slaps head) I thought it needed a penalty and no horse having won last time out. Only browsed it this morning.

I am surprised this thread has stirred up such a reaction actually Ron for as you mentioned Ardent was only ever received with affection. I guess he was around a good while before running his system past the forum. It might help if Mark states for the record on the thread that he is not marketing a system now or in the future. I quite like someone coming on with an idea and if its rubbish its rubbish, lord knows I have certainly had a few of those.

I've just discovered a temporary football system -just back Watford half time and the other team full time! For abonus go 4 2 correct score -simples!

I have never known a league side go through a season without drawing. As the lowest odds for a draw are 5/2, if you have deep pockets it's impossible to not make a profit, provided you can get the bets on after a long losing run.

That's the rub though Ron -gettin the bet on -assuming you have the deep pockets in the first place!

Hi Ron, I will add any new ones to a new post, but still start the daily thread? Also to make this easier I have a method of placing the rules, A BET, B BET AND C BET. When I put my selections on later this morning I will explain the ABC bets. Thanks
