Markovic.. the thread

His career has gone downhill since joining Liverpool. I don't have owt against him but he was shipped out to Sporting because the Portuguese League was where he made a name for himself in the first place, and he was even **** there.

To put it into perspective, he played well for Benfica between 2013-14 - they won the league. They've kept the title over the past three years and are 1st now. Sporting are 4th and before he was recalled he couldn't make the team because he was so piss-poor when he played. He can't cut it for Liverpool, he can't cut it in Portugal for a team worse than the one he originally played for. I just wonder why anyone would think he could cut it for us, even though we're second from bottom. He'll still be up against Premier League defences, which are a lot better and more physical than Portuguese ones, regardless of which PL club he plays for.
So once a player has had a bad run of form, what you are saying is that he can never recover that form at another club. Wow.

Tough news for Thierry Henry.

How bad was this guy against Fulham? From what I saw against Utd he doesnt look like a typical MS player. He wasnt hard working and played a bit half hearted. I thought the pass to Meyler that set up our 2nd goal was good but not a lot else impressed me.

Silva has said he needs time to work with him to get him to play like he wants... but is time something we have? Every other signing so far has come in and done a job.. I've got my doubts about Lazar though.. So far everything we heard about him before the loan deal are true.

Markvoic is not a bad loan he needs some time, as I said on the other thread, I did not see a £20m player.

I think that he looked like a player who is just off the pace. He is not a Halmosi more of a George Boyd.

The combination of him and Elmo could be very good.

People panic too much with these loans, there isn't a risk financially although of course on the pitch they may not perform.

That said I fully expect some spending, if we don't see any then it suggests asset stripping
