"I am also willing to refund any unhappy season ticket holder who wants their money back."I understand that fans have purchased or may have purchased season tickets in the expectation they were for Hull City AFC. Having learned the AFC is now not present, they are perfectly entitled to seek a refund."The club will be more than happy to oblige by paying them back in full, on a pro rata basis, if they are not happy with the plans to rebrand the club." Copy and paste from the above link. I am genuinely unaware of the exact details of the offer as I have no intention of taking it up. If you can point out this small print that males it a crap deal, I will stand corrected.
For one it's a crap deal because it's a ridiculous offer to suggest we can't watch Hull City AFC, but also, as was pointed out at the time, £30 a game was to be deducted for every game played.
To be fair, I think the £30 for each of those games was the individual match ticket price, I'm sure for Palace it only added £22 to the amount to be deducted.
http://mobile.hullcitytigers.com/ne...ason-cards-1186220.aspx?pd=635205637360000000 Granted, not a great offer. But you buy a season ticket because of the discount, if you hand it back you lose that discount. Many people have suggested they hit him financially so he understands, such as not buying merchandise. But thats easy to do. How many stood by their beliefs and sold their season tickets back?
Selling your season ticket back is sod all to do with standing by beliefs. We're STILL Hull City. The issue is the name change, not the man.
Again, why would a Hull City fan stop going to Hull City games and end up potentially missing the last games their club ever plays over a name change that hasn't happened yet. (I'm intentionally taking the hardest view against the name change for this point) Season ticket renewal time is when that protest can be made. As the name change will be resolved in April or May anybody who's not going to go to Hull Tigers games shouldn't renew their season ticket in February/March when they go on sale. If the name change is cancelled/blocked they'll still have plenty of time after the decision has been taken to renew their tickets for next season.

The crowd we get inside the stadium is the perfect referendum."Fans can choose to vote with their feet. If they are not happy, they can stay away. Dr Allam gave an opportunity for everyone to show they disagreed with the name change. But instead people wore badges and scarves and sing songs.
I don't accept his definition of a referendum. A referendum means you get a vote, you either press a computer key or put a cross on a ballot paper. Attendance doesn't indicate acceptance.
You really are quite thick. Allam is still peddling the marketing bullshit, so CTWD and their followers still have to turn round to all and sundry and say it is bollocks and coming up with a leading marketing expert who says its bollocks goes a long way to saying just that. We all know that the real reason is because the stupid old git has spit his dummy out with the council over the KC but unfortunatly the national and international media have not picked up on that yet, they are only seeing the marketing arguement.
That's emotional blackmail,he knows it and you know it? edit:Merch5 regarding 3.whatevers post,I wouldn't bother,he's been told that by several posters and it makes no difference.
Very few I would think, why? Simple because they are football fans who support their team, why should they give that up because of some stupid old twat that has spit his dummy out like a spoilt child because the council would not give him the KC. But one thing I can see happening though is merchandising sales will drop in the club shop. Would be interesting to see comparison between last Christmas and this, and if the name change actually gets through I for one will not set foot in the shop again.
Allam reckons we've got 100,000 fans, but only 21,000 are going to matches. I make that 79,000 who are staying away. Voting complete.
Why the hell should I get a refund on my season ticket. I bought it so I could support the team. Its just a clever ploy by him, he knew the vast majority of pass holders want to continue supporting their team so would continue to go to the games and ignore this offer giving him the chance to say "well I told you so, they are not bothered about the name change" . What he didn't bargain for is the hundreds of emails and letters the club got telling him that although we were not taking him up on the offer we did not agree with the name change. I for one have had no reply or even an acknowledgement from the club and I bet nobody else has. Mind you that is to be expected as he doesn't have any regard for his customers. I would like to buy a pass for next year but I am not sure I could bring myself to buy a pass for a team called Hull Tigers. It just irritates me so bloody much. Definitely no merchandise will be purchased by my family in the foreseeable future so he will have to make his millions elsewhere, the club shop will be a a no go area for the majority of supporters I bet.
You're underestimating him again. If all those who are opposed to the change refunded their season tickets, when the fan consultation takes place who will be left to be consulted?
That's my view. He thought he could buy the club for £30m and then it kept rising. The money he has had to put in to avoid losing even more money has made him feel trapped.
You fail to understand 'protest then' - but so good at trolling Simply you can support the club, support the team, appreciate the £72M loan, & oppose the name change - theses things are not mutually exclusive, simple as pie
