I'll forever remember him for doing that crazy wiggle in the penalty shootout in the CL final. Most entertaining football match ever.

I preferred Grobelaar's jelly legs routine personally. That was a great game though

I'm not so sure, he's 38 and has only played a couple of times in the past two years.

It is unfair to say he is not good enough if he has not been tried. The Dvd´s the club used to send out which included the highlights of the reserve games gave the impression of a competant keeper. A shot into the corner is just as difficult to save from a young reserve player as it is from Rooney for example. I recall his time at Grimsby he went there because the experienced keeper had made a number of errors. After a couple of games in which he did no wrong and received good reports in one the manager lost his bottle an went for experience. Managers often ask their players to be brave but are then cowardly themselves nearly always going for experience over a young player. When an experienced player makes a mistake they put it down to an error. When a young player makes a mistake it is a lack of experience. Give Oxley his chance in the friendlies, he is unlikely to be our first choice so after that if we can engineer a move on loan to a division 1 team where he will play that would probably be better for his long term development.
