It strikes me that both Hughes (and perhaps also Redknapp) were in some way distanced from the players. That seems apparent from the feedback players have shared. I have this vision of Hughes and his management team taking every measurement going every week (as has been said previously) and managing the players as resources. Like some kind of Frankenstein Champ Manager setup with the agents chipping in.
Alright, so we've established that he's a total prick. He's also a total prick who left our club some years ago now, as a failure. What's the obsession?
Agree. I'm over Hughes. If he'd had a bit more luck and been a better man manager we might now be doing a West Brom or Swans etc. Water, milk etc. He'll be back managing Hull or some other aspiring team. Don't wish him ill - bitterness is bad for the soul.
Joey Barton STILL laying into Hughes this morning on talksport radio. He really, really, REALLY dislikes Mark Hughes! It's a little strange because there have to be occasions when they might have to chat or even for Joey to interview him on radio. That would be interesting!
Sorry, don't have skills to down load relevant bit but basically taking the mick about how Hughes's self professed managerial expertise is rubbish. Brazil (not noted for being backwards with words!) was actually getting slightly uncomfortable with the directness of the sarcastic vitriol. Perhaps someone can link if they have time.
