Very sorry to say that Byrner has torn his ACL and is likely to be out for the rest of the season. Terrible shame as we've just started to build a solid midfield and he was very much a key part of that. Hope he has a speedy recovery and we see him in a Gills shirt again.

Out of contract in summer. Hope we will give him a new one year deal as deserves it. Been brilliant this season back to his best when player of year.
